I haven’t always work face makeup but I’ve always worn eyeliner or mascara but I want to love myself without it and today I really am. I don’t need it. But I now work at a spa and they are big on makeup and I feel I might find them pressuring me to wear it. I think we all look great without makeup and what makes us look amazing is our smiley faces and bright happy eyes. That’s what I see as beautiful

You’re beautiful & wise. At 73 I’ve just recently stopped wearing anything but a tad of powdered blush & light lipstick/gloss. It’s very freeing after a lifetime of experiencing just what you described re: time, planning for activities, etc. Blessings!

You are blessed that you have the kind of face that doesn't need it, your eyelashes are doing the job nicely. I can see how some women could get tattoo-liner as an alternative to eye liner make up. Remember the sun is a nuclear reaction that ages the skin (better to be pale than wrinkled and spotted later in life. ;-)

I’ve never dated someone that isn’t comfortable leaving the house without makeup. I find women that go all natural most of the time are more confident and more fun. They are free and accepting of who they are and that is incredibly sexy.

I only wear light makeup when im in the mood. Im bare faced. My boyfriend gets annoyed when i have makeup on. He says i like the way you do your makeup but you truly dont need it. I like your face bare. Im glad he thinks that.

My experience: wearing makeup from the end of highschool and for more two year was enough time to realise that i had to stop. My conclusions: -makeup does never look natural in real life and daylight no matter the product -it doesn't improve the skin it's just making texture look worse -it has so many unnecessary chemicals that can damage your skin, trigger ance, make skin oily -Its so much better to spend money in good quality skincare products instead of makeup. (Just 2-3 step routine) My skin never looked better 😊

In the summer, I got to wearing mascara, sunscreen, lip balm, that’s it. I sometimes will go without makeup except sunscreen year-round on the weekend, and I feel like I’m giving myself a break. I haven’t worn foundation for at least fifteen years though. When I wore foundation, I broke out all the time. I’m not quite ready to go without makeup completely at work, but I do wear the minimal. When I do, I feel a bit naked and vulnerable, however healthier and younger.

It’s as if you took my thoughts and life experiences and made it into a KZbin video 🥹. Recently took professional photos w/o makeup and I got so much criticism for it but I’m trying to stay strong and accept the face God gave me ♥️

A lot of women get treated horribly when they are not wearing make up. Especially at work. I used to not wear make up but men would make horroble comments about me. It even affects your career.

To all my girlies with blonde lashes: to help myself ease into not wearing makeup I got my lashes professionally dyed and lifted. This helped tons with the feeling that my eyes were ‘naked’ without makeup. As your lashes fall out the effect gradually wears off over the course of ~6 weeks, and by the sixth week I didnt even miss it anymore :)

I really appreciated this video and your articulate explanation of your journey and the advantages of not wearing make-up: physical, spiritual, mental, emotional. I am a totally different age from you, but also have commenced this journey, having started wearing makeup daily at the age of 13. It has always been a cover, to feel acceptable, to feel attractive, but I just got sick of it, plus the eye makeup was irritating my eyes, regardless of the brand I wore. So now I wear none. Again, it is freeing. Lots of negative comments from people: that I look ill, I look washed out, I look tired, etc but I actually don’t care; well, I do, but not enough to start up again. I think this is freeing; this is me. And like you said, I love seeing other women with no make-up; this is who we really are. I still do what I can to look presentable, but just no make-up. And I love this raw reality.

Tbh though you are naturally physically beautiful, there are a lot of women who don’t necessarily fall into that category without makeup. I personally am not a fan of makeup because really it’s just a mask, it’s a fake beauty rather then a natural one and it’s not the same. I have found natural femininity far more attractive then the clownish looks that a lot women think are trendy, the Kardashians just look like barbies at this point and unfortunately everyone wants that look.

its so easy for pretty people who dont need makeup to be socially acceptable to say that "no makeup is so liberating"
@Laura-vs6fs11 ай бұрын
reading these comments is kind of a bummer. If wearing makeup makes you feel like you're not yourself, than you guys are not as confident as you present yourself lol You should feel like yourself, regardless what clothes or makeup you wear or not. That is true confidence. So done with the bs you "natural girlies" want to spread. Appreciate the video, but it always attracts such toxic men and women.
@Laura-vs6fs10 ай бұрын
@@eudaimonia7697 projecting what lol I, as every human being, have days when I m insecure, but through the years I have become much more confident in my own skin regardless of what I wear or don't wear. I have a problem with women, who want to be so different and "not like other girls" that they put down other women bc they simply wear makeup. I am pretty sure they are the ones projecting their own insecurities. Like I said, if wearing makeup makes you "not feel like yourself", then you are not truly sure, who you are in the first place, therefore not confident in yourself. We should not put others down bc of that though, as it's human. Go through the comments and you will see so many of these women. The thing is that makeup should not have such a great power over you in the first place, if wearing or not wearing it dictates your confidence. If you think there is any hate in my comment, then you clearly are the one with issue not me
