Is this better than AWFS? I was planning to go in the summer but didn't know about this show, and not sure I can make it at such short notice... Are they basically the same thing? Thanks!

Hi There! great question, I have not heard of AWFS but it seems to be mostly focused around the woodworking industry. The APA show is focused around Laser Engraving printing and personalizing of various products for the personalization industry not just Wood and they offer many many education courses during the span of the event ranging from not only woodworking but printing Laser Engraving UV printing, how to work with software how to run your business marketing in a lot more so I’m pretty sure that they’re not the same. It really depends on what your focus is if you’re only into woodworking and crafting with wood then I guess the AWFS show is the one you should go to, but if you’re doing more and you want to learn about all the ways you can personalize things then you would definitely want to go to the APA show.

The glass engraving of the MakerFlo decanter and glasses with the ComMarker Omni 1 really blew me away. Just exudes quality. The UV sensitive powder tip makes it so easy to visually align. Nice tip!

You absolutely need to dial in the machine for the substrate. Using clean dry air is a must for your air knife on the head. We have a demo shop in San Antonio Tx from 200w - 1000w pulsed machines. And 1000w -3000w CW machines even a couple gaussian machines. If you want to do some testing feel free to stop by our shop ( sales, service and training )

#1: I have been subscribed for a while now. #2 My favorite project was the Magic Mushroom tumbler, but I really liked the customizeability of the tumblers. #3. Active now on website #4. not and issue, never been and issue. The powder coating is strong, and is bonded!

its not using vinyl, its printing special inks onto film, then applying glue to the back of said film, then using a heat press to transfer the print to apparel.

Love watching all your videos!! My favorite item was the marble/ wood charcuterie board. I have been selling a lot of cups though and love how they engrave. I am extremely thankful I got your great advice early on. Your name was engraved on the Basting Brush in the BBQ set.

My favorite is the bourbon case. You put your name on the basting brush of the BBQ set. I use MakerFlo and love the marble and acaia wood set with the four utensils. I have also used the tumblers and I know they are changing the tumblers some.

I love everything you showed but my favorite is the decanter set. You showed a variety of blanks we can use and purchase at a great price. I got into laser to make boxes with my handmade purses. But then you showed a variety of boxes. So everything you showed will be my future blanks. Oh and by the way your name was engraved on the brush your logo was on everything else

I like the wood/resin cutting board - It's nice that they use the resin that is compatible with laser engraving. The baster brush has your signature, but I like what you did with the knife blade! :)

Just bought my first laser printer and learning my way around. I love the channel! This is still very new to me but so anxious to learn from a creator like you. I really liked the decanter set in the box, especially as a bourbon lover originally from KY! I really liked the charcuterie set and could see that being staged, sold with some neat ideas. I saw the signature engraved on the basting brush. Thanks for doing this video it was so helpful.

Curious why you only count materials in your cost instead of all your expenses (electricity, machine maintenance / replacement cost, labor/laser time etc.)?

Good question: That is something to consider of course, but it can vary greatly from business to business, and location to location, for those that want to drill down that deep, and get into the nitty gritty down to pennies and nickels, I may make another video on that later
