Mine is a 2019 and doesn't have a rubber cover it's screwed on plastic piece. Unfortunately it looks like I might have to remove the headlight

Please note- What I have demonstrated above is mainly applicable to model years 2018-2021. That is because in 2022 Ford moved the high-pressure fuel pump to the left side of the engine - there by changing the valve cover and its part number as well. Because of this the removal procedure has changed for the left side (driver) valve cover. And I would assume the torque specs of the bolts for the valve cover may have also changed. Description has been updated to include 22+ valve cover part number. You can use my video as a lose guide in doing a valve cover repair on a 22+ expedition.

I'm actually at home now trying to revert things. Everything is going well, but I want to revert the limit of fuel capacity that's under instrument cluster and when I click on it, there's no other option but active, it says that the only way to revert it is to use a back up, which I don't have because I bought this vehicle coded already. Do you know of any other way to revert it?

How often I change my fluid? Let’s see… bought the car at 60k, now at 180k… approximately zero times. Not my fault! It was my dad’s car the whole time but now it’s mine and it’s getting every fluid changed.

How big a job is it to replace the entire rack?
@EcoBelkin17 күн бұрын
That I don't have answer for. I didn't look at that procedure. Buy from experience- I'd eager you'd have e to drop the front sub frame or at East remove the rear mounting bolts to be able to tilt the frame and have access to removed the rack. Possibly have the car elevated- say a lift or at least high enough for better acces
@dopiaza200617 күн бұрын
@@EcoBelkin Hmm, I thought that might be the case. I have a 2018 on 105k miles. The steering is stiff. Not so stiff as to be without power steering, just stiffer than it should be and doesn't self centre properly because of it. I'm going to pop the tie rod end balljoints off and see if it's still stiff as it could be top mount bearings. That will tell me if the problem is the rack or elsewhere. Fingers crossed it's a seized top mount!

I have this same problem on my 2018 Expedition. Something you said made me think. Could I replace that plastic "y" connector with and aluminum one? Something like the "y" connector from Part # 626-665. Maybe even manufacture your own hose and connection assembly using performance hoses, constant tension clamps and the "y" connector. Afterall when you replace these parts they usually break again inside 2/3 years
@EcoBelkin6 күн бұрын
There has been discussion on line of people keeping the hoses and only making the repair to the y sections using brass fittings.

I liked the exterior shots especially showing the rocker panel rust and each of the under door rust areas. it was great to mention the early tire wear and the front and back bushing/mechanical parts wear. the Flex does look good and i was thinking of one to replace a van as a work vehicle to also carry a ladder 20 foot.

Getting a wheel speed sensor fault from the same wheel. Not sure how to tell if it's the sending unit or the hub fins that are at fault. I replaced the front left last year and it was the hub that was the problem, not the sensor. I'm not too interested in replacing one and then the other but wasn't sure on FORscan how to tell the difference between the two.
@EcoBelkinАй бұрын
Easy check is to lift the flex with all wheels off the ground. Using fordcan to read speed sensor- rotate tire by hand and see how the graph display for the wheel being spun. You could test the wiring to and from the connector when the speed sensor connects to.
