Does anyone know how this "Snare Sound" in between the hits is called or how you do it? Sounds wonderful.

Chicken scratch is what I know it as, just muting the skin of the drum with your finger nail in between strikes

What did the French do; slaughtered any would be noble who was unwilling to grant concessions. If the Natives are build a country, that's one option.

Thank you so much for your amazing presentation! I have learnt so much, I have been studying the Peace Treaty at Montreal and the Iroquios Confederacy Belt flag that the Dutch are flying on their Sea Shepard Ships. I also learnt that the Peace Tree Pine riot was because the British Royal Navy had chopped down over 4500 Eastern Pines for Ship Mask in Europe. It's fascinating the Pine was originally on the Ship on the Wampum Belt.

Ironic that George Washington owned the most land west of the Appalachian, or 'indian' land, that was supposed to be off limits for tge colonist to purchase, even though Britian was promising this land after terms of indenturement.

Did this agreement extinguish aboriginal title in the Williams Treaties area?

That's what I m wondering, by going under Canadian law for a treaty matter did that give Canada now full authority over the treaty and lands, which will be devastating.

I love to hear you speak Ojibway even without understanding it; it gives me a real sense of going back to the beginnings of so much history, tradition and customs. Miigwetch so much! I enjoy all the Native teachings and am fascinated with symbols and their meanings while realizing all is kept Sacred. Blessings.....
