I remember watching this when it was broadcast. I didnt really appreciate Crush when it came out, but have come to look at in a different light over the last 30 years.

Just seen them at Leeds, about the 5th time now. Saw them in the 80s, 90s and 2000s, so still relevant today, and their music never dates. New Wave at its best. Even Kraftwerk came to see them, no doubt see what their competition was.

For me Crush was the begining of the end for OMD, they were trying to hard to get into the US market, they cancelled Euopean dates to tour in America. Their sound became aimed at commercial radio, and was wishy washy. Not all of it was rubbish, but a fair bit was just really poor. Since their comeback, the new stuff has been very samey, and naff. Bland, dull and no imagination, just re-hashes of rehashes. I blame it partly on Andy writing disposable crap for Atomic Kitten. He became really lazy with his writing, using a stale and tired formula. Paul just does as he is told. Sad really, because they were an amzing band live, from 1985/86 on wards the music pretty dull.

Actually emotional about the INGENIOUNESS of Royal deluxe theatre!!!!! I consider the "puppets" more ENGINEERING accomplishments of history!!!! The young girl puppet is actually CUTE PRETTY!!! VIVE ROYAL DELUXE THEATRE!!!!!!

On Wednesday I was walking through Meols to take a picture in the phone booth( telephone Box), then I passed in front of Andy's parents' house and from there I walked to Red Rocks on Stanley road, they say Andy McCluskey lives there, it was very cold in the Stanley road but I liked it and it was worth it.

Thanks so very much indeed for the upload of this BBC documentary, giving us the 'Story-Telling' that the ROYAL DE LUXE Cie. and the City of Liverpool invented / thought of together when the Giants of Royal de Luxe visited Liverpool in 2012. I for one, totally fell under the spell of this story, and appreciated the presentation of it by actress Gillian Kearney. I love the fact that the company and its creator(s) -- 8:38 JEAN-LUC COURCOULT, Founder of the Cie. (François Delarozière, engineer, shouldn't be left unmentioned...) -- always make(s) the effort to invent a new storyline by each one of their apparitions/spectacles . ROYAL DE LUXE was once more in Liverpool in 2018, with other Giants, showcasing another story..

Congratulations to the joint international launch of James Webb spaaaaaace telescope. BIG LOVE TO OMD. I saw them back in the early 80s in a tiny little space on the University of Washington campus HUB. Expecting to be in musical euphoria, but live music boredom compared to all the frenzy of punk rock I was used to. SURPRISE. They are as, or more, exciting as any band in a big or small space I've seen. PLUS they got the musical goods.
