You really need to get yourself a petrol powered RC car , so much more fun than your little rover.

Pity for the rain but it adds to the experience. I too prefer to camp in the colder month of the year. I spend 2 to 3 weeks nearly every September / October in Tassie. Sleeping in the swag under a feather doona. Getting older the knees & hips play up a bit getting up off the ground but I prefer the swag in winter as it’s warmer than a tent.
@openbarcampingadventure8889Ай бұрын
Yep I prefer the colder months! Planning a trip to tassie sometime soon. Try a strectcher tent.

Sorry to hear about you Mum :(.. There is nothing wrong with your videos. They are not full of over edited crap. Anyway I think there ok... Iv also got a MQ16 as well. Its been a cracker of a ute and been all over Oz.. Nearly all my camping is solo in the swag. Storing me gear & working out of tubs works best for me.. The tub also keep most of the dust out... When my partner comes away with me. We use an Oztent RV5. Ant

20" Long shaft motor on a short (15") transom doesn't work very well. You will have disappointing performance and a really wet ride. That motor can be modified to short shaft, or extend the transom up 5", or install an aluminum jack plate made specifically for that job. I just converted a newer 28HP version of that engine to short shaft for use on vintage 12'6" fiberglass boat. Fully sorted out that boat/motor combination should be capable of 35MPH & have excellent fuel economy when cruising.

How do you adjust the tropical roof .?
@openbarcampingadventure8889 Жыл бұрын
Hi Grant. The tropical roof usually adjust itself when you fully tension the poles inside but they do have tabs to tighten or loosen on each corner and in the centre both sides. Unfortunately on my camper, the tropical roof is too long. I undo the front tabs and put on a adjustable straps and tie it off to the draw bar. Hope this helps. Cheers Paul

Nice one. Just got a spirit 2 pac, very useful to help setup! Do you have one on putting away. Just curious if you put down the rear part of the tent first before folding the front over? Thanks!
@openbarcampingadventure88892 жыл бұрын
Hi, I drop rear then front then middle poles. I’ve found not every camper is not the same so take your time and try different pack up. Ive had a few requests of a packed down video so definitely on the way. Cheers

To make the setup a little easier and quicker - I have marked all the poles (Roof, walls and Rawwcon) so that there is only one adjustment. Also put the pegs and ropes in place before setting up the Awning - easily cut setup time in half.

How do you stop the morning heat? And flip side, with no fly, is it cold in winter Cheers, Robertt?
@openbarcampingadventure88892 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, yes it does get hot during the summer months but when the windows are open there is enough ventilation to cool it down a bit, plus the tropical roof helps a lot as well. During the winter months it’s pretty warm. In side there is a canvas zip up wall dividing the bed and the lounge areas. When this is zipped up at night your body heat keeps the bed area fairly warm, even in cold windy night. I also use a small gas heater to warm the camper up before bed. Hope this helps. Cheers Paul.

Hey Bronte, yes it’s a kings fire pit. To be honest it wasn’t big enough to keep me warm at 2 degree temperature. I’m sure it will be ok in spring or summer for a bit of ambiance but it probably want to the job during winter. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers Paul
