I have really enjoyed this video! What is the name of the music that starts at 1:20? It sounds so familiar but I can't place it.

Jonny, this is one of the best arrangements I have heard of this piece. I see below that it originates from some guitar magaizine. Do you happen to know how I can get hold of a copy. I don't pirate copyright material, so I'm not asking you to pass it on. Thank you for this gentle and confident arrangement. In another life, my brass band plays this and the results are of modest quality!

I have numerous high end acoustic guitars and my favorite, by far, is my Sobell. If you haven’t played a Sobell, the sound and playability are incredible. Trying a Sobell will result in you owning A Sobell. A true masterpiece.

@@JonnyMoscoGuitar Believe it or not, I actually ended up getting lessons by him and then Joe Satriani in 1989..went on to teach summer courses at GIT in California..dabbled in some bands and have done studio/movie/TV work ever since. People finally convinced me to do my own thing on the side and working on recording my own album atm. Loved your take on it. nice work!

Thanks for the video! I am just wondering how do you know to play in different positions on the neck? does sight reading it use lots of ledger lines? or do you learn it in one position and just transpose it???
@unwaveringdiscipline548922 күн бұрын
Hello, I m sure it varies depending on book, but most i ve ever had will usually mark a position change either with a circled number up to 6 if it's a single note position change or mark a full barre with a letter and a roman numeral over the phrase where it happens. The letter, depending on the country of origin for the book is either b for barre or c for cappo. For example, a barre si on seventh fret will have a CVII or a BVII over it. If it's a half barre, the C or B will have a vertical line running through it.

I know I’m a bit late at this point but that’s a really odd guitar! The frets look wonky and it looks as if their is an ebony nut or something like that?

It's a fan fret - good for open tunings.
