I am still wondering what happened to him. He is much more talkative and extravert than he was in the ‘80’s. Wish somebody would write his biography. The guy was really crazy, early ‘80’s. Like setting his house on fire when he didn’t get his cocaine in time. Would love to read about that stuff.

Very good interview, Franck makes an excellent interviewer! Steve H is so knowledgeable about what's happening in music Loved that he also has an ear for guitarists like Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Vai and anything at that end of the spectrum. Very enjoyable watch , thank you !

Michael we met in Portland, Oregon in 75 with UFO opening for Blue Oyster Cult. I know you won't of course remember, that's ok 😅, but I saw you in 74 also. My first store bought guitar was in 78, a natural thing mahogany Gibson V, while my friends were still thinking Clapton was God, I was learning everything you played and just kicked their asses come jam time. I always knew therefore that you were all over the Lovedrive album not just the 5 songs. So sad friends, people and especially blood can just hurt you the worst. If you read this know that the glorious life I've led, the shows and tours I've been blessed to play are a direct result of your influence on me musically. Thank you for giving me a life worth living,,, God bless and keep you brother.

I've loved Michael Schenker's playing since my teenage years when he joined UFO, he's always been one of my favourite guitarists; however I believe that he would gain many more followers if he were to own up to his drinking issues and how that undermined him as a musician for so many years. I love the new bright-eyed and healthy-looking Michael but he would achieve much more if he were to own his past issues.

What it comes down to, both Rudolf and Michael have what the other lacks. Rudolf's a rhythm guitarist who comes up with great rhythms but cant solo. Although they are simple, they are infectious. Michael's rhythms are just pallets he writes so he can play nice melodies and solos over the top of them. They tend to all sound alike. Michael excels when he has other help with the song writing. Look at "gimme your love" That was written by Rocky Newton. In UFO, their best tunes were either written or co written with Pete Way. The LoveDrive album was mostly written by Rudolph, Michael co writing 3 of them. Michael shouldve either stuck with UFO or the Scorpions. He wouldnt have ended up all salty like he is today.

7:11 - Actually after SITN when "people were saying" MS was GOD......Mike decided........YES I agree! And started acting like it. Dude should have just stayed with UFO because they would always have been as big as the Scorpions.....And PROOF he STILL thn=inks hes God is naming a freaking FESTIVAL after himself. Sorry Mike but EVERY member of Scorpions has WAYYYYY more $$$$$ than you and always will. You just keep playing Lights Out and Doctor Doctor every night in fron of a couple hundred 18 yr olds and 78 year old dudes and pretend its still 1978.

It's bad enough when you get burned by people in general, but it's pretty bad when some are family. You're still the top dog guitarist of all time. UFO FOREVER! Saw them in 78 in San Antonio Texas.

Including, undoubted guitar talent, here in Texas USA, back in 1979 and 1980s, most of the local guitar bands, players, and local fans in Dallas were awaiting for him to recooperate and make a come back, finally he did, I know, I was happly.

My family imploded. Father. Mother. It's a small miracle I am even speaking to my older sister after twenty years. Family will break your heart. My mother,Aurelia is the eldest of ten. Her younger sister,Rosana, moved from North San Jose, our hometown, in 1969 to Hollywood to become an actress. Her big role was Connie,Ritchie Valens' mother in "La Bamba". Her and I had a misunderstanding the day after Thanksgiving in 2000 at her home in Brentwood and I haven't seen or talked to her since. I don't speak to any of them anymore. Rock bands always burn their members. Especially when they get really big.
