The Russian Empire is comparable with U.S. colonization of Indigenous Nations. Could we imagine to decolonize the USA? There has to happen much more to reach that point, imo.

Putin made an embarrassing trip to Beijing to beg Supreme Commander Xi for military and economic aid. It will not be the first time that Russia is a vassal.

When Putin said the “ greatest regret of the past was the fall of the USSR”, when Donald Trump says “ I could shoot someone on Main Street and no one would care”, when some ghoulish Isreali says “ I’m going to kill and subjugate all Palistinians”, I’m assuming. No one cares becouse we live in a post literate society. Everyone is in their own world and their own little dramas and consumer culture to care, until the reality of it hits them smack dab in the face.

Did the Revolution of Dignity have a leader? Is a leader needed? Some say the Georgians will never overcome their government - because they have no leader. But a leader would be immediately arrested. Or can a civil society overthrow a government by group action concerted through Whatsapp?

Decentralised, almost leaderless- or rather thousands of people acting like leaders - is what’s needed.

People who are willing to find out how the ordinary people in Ukraine are, will find out they're building a new and very active democracy. They can disagree without being disagreeable. It's inspiring, it's refreshing to see them behave like people united in the understanding they're building a solid society.

Decentralization of government is what Canada desperately needs. Right now, we have an Alberta premier wanting the reverse. She wants all the power taken away from townships and cities. She is maga, so more American than Canadian. People like her are dangerous. But so is our entire political system as too much is hidden, and we have very little say.

I do agree with Taras regarding the win-win scenario. The problem is the Putins in this world and not the people in general. RF-Russian Fed- is not workable as a democratic federation of nations if the autocracy is still in power. The people of Russia and the other nations within the Federation must rise up at the same time and take a stand against all autocracies.

Re the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 vs the Second World War 1939-1945, I'm sure the Czechs and Slovaks date the war 1938-1945 (beginning with the Munich Betrayal, a.k.a. Mn[i|í]chovská zrada, of September 1938); Austria could date it likewise, beginning with the Anschluß of March 1938; whereas China could date it 1937-1945 (beginning with the Marco Polo Bridge incident of July 1937) or even 1931-1945 (beginning with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria in September 1931). By contrast, I wonder how many Americans date the war like the Soviets, 1941-1945, beginning with the Battle of Pearl Harbor in December 1941. The 1939-1945 range are not self-evidently the right dates for that war, although I would argue to push its beginning earlier, rather than later.

News flash, the US doesn't support Russia fall because of nuclear proliferation. China won't let it happen because Russia is their strongest ally. They can't over throw US dominant by themselves. Any talk of Russia breakup is a waste of time. Another point, war is good for weapons makers. Guess which country is #1 in weapons export?

I accept Mr Taras Byk's point that a nonexpansionist autocracy is indeed preferable to an expansionist autocracy. I would even go further, and say that a nonexpansionist autocracy is preferable to an expansionist *democracy* as well. However, Azerbaijan is a bad example of a nonexpansionist autocracy, considering its conflicts with Armenia.
@paulgibbon5991
@paulgibbon5991 Сағат бұрын
Problem is, there's no such thing as a nonexpansionist autocracy. Sooner or later, the dictator needs to point the people towards an outside enemy to stop them turning on him. Dictators can never last long without enemies, real or created.

I think many of the "territories" of Russia will fall to Chinese Imperialism as will much of central Asia. For China the illegal war of aggression that Russia has started in Ukraine is the gift that keeps on giving. China will, certainly, try to keep Russia fighting and losing soldiers in Ukraine or wherever they can. Due to proximity China will have little opposition to grabbing those areas, unless the global west can sufficiently collapse China and, it appears, China is helping with that.

One could easily imagine the Siberians wanting their own identity and the VAST natural resources that belong to the state (country) of Siberia should it choose independence from Moscow. The Bashkirs of Bashkortostan, likewise, are known for their independent, fighting spirit. Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Armenia and many others are presently anxious to separate themselves from Russia’s imperialism. The global south is fed a steady diet of anti west pro- russian nonsense. RT is broadcast in Spanish over half the planet just like Fox News. The BRICS countries are foolishly in the grip of a Kremlin campaign of disinformation designed to enslave them and extract their resources, which russia is doing very successfully. Propaganda works! They give their gold to putin in exchange for serfdom, such a deal. Russia, the Uber-COLONIALIST. Here comes the new boss, so much worse than the old boss.

Jonathan: DTBM did message on "Has WWIII already Began ". In it he tells how some young programmers offered to sell to the CIA a algorithm that showed how all these phones went to Langley and later scattered to 100 countries. This reportedly means this program shows where all our spies or intelligence agents are going. I think the CIA could use this program to discover enemy spies if they know where they are mainly trained or even used on terrorists to find where they are going. Also i think CIA agents should leave their cell phones at home. And there should be cell phones at Langley that the agents can use when they need a phone. And these phones should never leave Langley so they cannot be tracked. They also might want to set up a false trail with agents phones to deceive the enemy that might be using this program to track U.S agents. They also need to find out who else these programmers tried to sell their little algorithm to (China, Russia, Iran???). Can you follow-up on this???
