Cool video. Two questions... how do you set the preload, and can you drive the car with it aired out?
@thatsteez_7 күн бұрын
With this install, everything was checked to ensure that the components on the struts were tightened, But nothing was adjusted for preload. The damping settings were set to what is recommended by the user guide book for this platform, which is available with the Airlift kit for the front and rear. if needed, I can provide that information for this platform on the front and rear damping recommended settings. This specific vehicle cannot be driven while aired out as the undercarriage sits on the ground. There may be some vehicles on air suspension that may be able to do so, but all cars will vary.

3 or 4 inches on a 5MGE! What are you smoking?! Also, you have an auto cluster. You need a manual cluster.
great video man ! But is there any way you can go into depth about wiring the compressor the harness and battery ? Would mean a lot bro !
@thatsteez_22 күн бұрын
Of course! I’ll get a video posted as soon as I can. With the Airlift 3P, the main harness is already easy plug and play for wiring. Power, ground, and ignition. For the single compressor, it is using the red power and black ground wire, and making the direct connection to the compressor power and ground. If you plan to run dual, I can upload a video going over that as well.
@thatsteez_7 күн бұрын
The video I am posting today will go over the install of running a second compressor on the 3P system

Did you have any issue connecting the tie rod end up front once the super low struts were in place? I’m like 2” short of being able to connect it to the strut.

Great video! What fuse did you tap into?
@thatsteez_22 күн бұрын
I ran the ignition tap into the 5 amp fuse at the back of the car, the fuse panel that provides an on and off ignition source to the cigarette lighter. The system may stay on for five minutes after the car is off, but should shut off without any issues.

Any reason why you removed the bolt from the back of the rear spring control arm instead of removing the 2 toward the wheel? Most installs I've seen for the Supra - they don't touch that bolt at all.
@thatsteez_22 күн бұрын
At 11:22 you can see that there is a different bolt behind the assembly. It’s a special socket needed (six sided bolt, E20). On the initial installation of the white Toyota mk5 supra, i ran into the issue of not having that size socket and had to go on a hunt to find that in order to drop the arm. I figured it would be easier to loosen and remove the alignment bolts and drop the arm from the inside. I also went ahead and made 2-3 Marks indicating its original position. Hopefully this information helps and I do apologize, I didn’t think there would be a whole lot of foot traffic on the channel. So I never followed up to see if there were questions about the installs right away.

Just recently bought a modified magnaflow 14815 from raptor racing. I got the 2.5 inch inlet but they also sell a 3 inch. Comes preinstalled with the hanger too and its not really much more than the muffler on its own. Its a fiberglass muffler so itll kinga get rid of the airy sound when revving it but itll keep the low sounds. Idk how quiet itll be cause its not on my car yet 😅 ill keep ya posted tho if i remember to
