Definitely take that Challenger out for a ride before you purchase your Indian. I've owned mine since they came out and it's an amazing motorcycle. I originally owned a chieftain which is air cooled and it was an awesome motorcycle but just didn't have the punch that the Challenger brings to the street. Being liquid cooled it makes it a nice ride when you're down in Daytona and the traffic gets bad during bike week. I don't have to pull over to let my motorcycle cool down. Enjoy your new motorcycle no matter what you buy! Just get out there and ride!

I won't give 30k for a pickup truck so when they show me the sticker on a bike that high it flips me out. I like the older Indian Chief but those 111's had weak connecting rods and the case wouldn't take a big bore kit like the newer bikes will. These bikes are just too weak stock and like my Fatboy they need bars, seat, cam, exhaust and tuning right away so I have a hard time getting excited about them. Maybe one day they'll get people that ride involved with building bikes again.

The connecting rods on the Thunderstroke, and the case, have no durability issues at all. They WILL take 116 big bore kits and cams. Look at photos and diagrams of the internals of the Indian Thunderstroke. They're 3x beefier than anything Harley has ever used.

The only gripe i have about indian is that the highway bars and heel toe shifter doesnt come standard on most of their bagger models. My 18 streetglide came standard with highway bars, heel toe shifter, and gps. I understand that its a preference but, you can always take the heel shifter off if you dont like it. With indian, you have to pay thousands more for an upgraded version to get those things and even so, have to pay an extra couple hundred bucks to get the heel toe shifter put on the standard bagger version. There arent that many aftermarket parts available for indian so you kinda have to buy from indian for the most part to customize your bike. Indians are beautiful, well balanced, comfortable bikes. Even their stock seats are better than harleys stock seats for the most part.

@@RichinHeart. well I’ll be very honest. Most of my friends that ride Harleys are kinda dicks about them. My buddy Steve said he wouldn’t let me ride his because it would ruin me for any other bike. My best friend from high school told me I wasn’t cool enough to ride a Harley. My first bike was a Suzuki, then Honda then Triumph but my touring Triumph got to heavy for me and I needed to down size or give up riding. My 2019 Scout Bobber (in white smoke) weighs about half what the Triumph did. After a test ride and feeling the toque that this has ( which is like none of my other ones) the Triumph would fly too but at 850 pounds it was time to downsize like I said. Hey brother. I’m not sure if you truly understand the meaning of “woke”. Woke simply means that you’re now aware of the rest of the world and how you’re perceived as a Black person. It means that you’re educating yourself on how minorities are being treated within our country! It’s more so a Black term that White people have no clue of what it means and are misusing the term at a high level. And yes, I am a Black veteran, from Georgia, who has done amazing things for OUR country. If you’re truly against being “woke” it inadvertently implies that you’re a racist.

I traded in an 09’ Street Glide with 91,000 miles on it that I paid about $20k new for before the Bagger insanity started. The Indian’s although nice looking are obviously Harley knock-offs. Just got a 23.5 CVO RG with inverted forks, multiple drive modes, remote locking bags, multifunction display with Apple Carplay capability, full LEDs, TPMS and an electronically controlled windshield. My mistake, no windshield control. All that was on my ‘21 Indian. Three yrs ago. Who is copying whom? PS, my first HD was in 1969. You don’t need to explain anything. Don’t rightly know how many since and none were perfect, neither is the Indian but it’s slightly closer than HD. If all you eat is meat and potatoes, a taco can seem pretty zesty. That’s a pretty bitter sounding reply there Mr. Wright and I’m not a brand lemming sir. If I could share pictures here, you’d see my Suzuki parked next to my Harley. You may have a handful of years on me but In my 50 years of riding, I’ve had just about every brand and style bike there is to ride and yes sir, I’m partial to Harley’s. I’ve only owned seven of them but what do I know? When Polaris killed the Victory line, I seem to recall a new line of Indian’s that popped up and they sure seemed to resemble Harley’s. Honestly, Mr. Wright, when they were coming out with their knock-offs with their big motors and all the goodies you mentioned, I’ll confess, I was pretty impressed and they got my attention. However, I just couldn’t warm up to them cuz I like my good ole’ meat & potatoes. Their sparse dealership network doesn’t work for me either where I live. The closest one to my home actually closed within a year of opening and the only other one is an 1 1/2 hour away. There’s a Harley dealership twenty minutes distance from my home that’s been open for 50 plus years so that also plays an important role in my preference. Barking at me when I didn’t say anything negative about Indian got my feathers a little rustled so I guess i just had to bark back. Ride safe and enjoy whatever you ride sir.

You have a beautiful motorcycle and don't worry about covering up the name, it just draws more attention. It's not the motorcycle or our fault the owners of Harley hired the woke board. The emblem with no words is the woke symbol.

Drawing attention might be a good thing. Yeah, I feel betrayed.

You might be better off selling your cvo, that was a low offer unless you have 60k plus miles on it

It’s just under 25k miles and yeah, I would sell it myself. I thought it would be interesting to hear what they would offer or if they are accepting Harley trades … I’ve heard some won’t.
