As an Indian owner, and on my third Indian, I'm very happy with my bike overall. I wish the dealer network was larger but I love the bike. Nice bikes. I have the pleasure of owning both brands. Harley and Polaris/Victory/Indian. Two different animals for sure. Each with their individual strengths and weaknesses. In my experience, the Polaris brand was ahead in reliability and performance for a while. Harley was forced to catch up. I would buy the one that works best for ME. I personally don't give a rat's butt about politics or what other people like or don't like. That's just useless noise. Just my opinion.

I traded in an 09’ Street Glide with 91,000 miles on it that I paid about $20k new for before the Bagger insanity started. The Indian’s although nice looking are obviously Harley knock-offs. I can’t trash them because I don’t own one to know better but all I’ll always ride a Harley. You know what they say……” If I have to explain why, you’ll never understand”
@williamwright15633 ай бұрын
Knockoffs? You mean like two wheels, fenders, saddlebags a tank like every motorcycle ever? Don’t be silly. Just got a 23.5 CVO RG with inverted forks, multiple drive modes, remote locking bags, multifunction display with Apple Carplay capability, full LEDs, TPMS and an electronically controlled windshield. My mistake, no windshield control. All that was on my ‘21 Indian. Three yrs ago. Who is copying whom? PS, my first HD was in 1969. You don’t need to explain anything. Don’t rightly know how many since and none were perfect, neither is the Indian but it’s slightly closer than HD. If all you eat is meat and potatoes, a taco can seem pretty zesty. That’s a pretty bitter sounding reply there Mr. Wright and I’m not a brand lemming sir. If I could share pictures here, you’d see my Suzuki parked next to my Harley. You may have a handful of years on me but In my 50 years of riding, I’ve had just about every brand and style bike there is to ride and yes sir, I’m partial to Harley’s. I’ve only owned seven of them but what do I know? When Polaris killed the Victory line, I seem to recall a new line of Indian’s that popped up and they sure seemed to resemble Harley’s. Honestly, Mr. Wright, when they were coming out with their knock-offs with their big motors and all the goodies you mentioned, I’ll confess, I was pretty impressed and they got my attention. However, I just couldn’t warm up to them cuz I like my good ole’ meat & potatoes. Their sparse dealership network doesn’t work for me either where I live. The closest one to my home actually closed within a year of opening and the only other one is an 1 1/2 hour away. There’s a Harley dealership twenty minutes distance from my home that’s been open for 50 plus years so that also plays an important role in my preference. Barking at me when I didn’t say anything negative about Indian got my feathers a little rustled so I guess i just had to bark back. Ride safe and enjoy whatever you ride sir.
