Saw Crawley lose there in the FA Cup in Oct 1995. Was right to the left-hand side of that stand (your right as you view the video). Away end was packed and couldn't see the goal we were defending, that Sutton scored twice in in the first half. Left with 5mins to go at 3-0 down and we were shite. Got back home to find out the final score was 4-1, so out of five goals, I saw one. 😂

How crazy to see the entire stands exploding with emotion after that great goal.

What a plum you are making a fierce rivallry out of a nothing fixture for most of the clubs history you were not even in the same league structure as each other ! It is a derby between two struggling and poor teams with both looking for a minor bragging rights. If the teams were challenging for honours or the play offs it would be more of an interest.

Thought the atmosphere was a bit flat in all honesty, although Southend definitely outing Aldershot. Just the one unimaginative chant though to go with the drum and bicycle horn....

Impressed that more than 500 Shrimpers came to Aldershot. Met a few in the pub. Very friendly crowd. Their support with a loud drum was impressive. Couldn't really hear much of our own fans in the East Bank. A long way to travel back to Southend after a poor game from both sides.
