Hello, I know this is old but I've just found a jacket by haglofs that looks very similar in design to this. Its the goretex pro model. Would you recomend still? How has it held up?

Mine works just fine for what I use it for. That knife looks pristine. Did you use a second knife for testing? Do you want to sell it?

I go into the jungle every week and I'm on the river with alligators. I take a machete, a buck 110, and my Becker BK2 Ka-Bar. I need all three. The buck will brake if I use it wrong but I need something for small task, machete for the bush, and the BK 2 for everything else. I know I can't brake the BK 2 no matter what I do I know I can count on it to not fail. I honestly can't think of another blade with the same still that measure up. Some come close but the BK 2 holds an edge better and it's not hard to sharpen. I own many good made knives from Randall Made to Bark River knives and many in between. I can say one thing from being out there, you never really know about your gear till you actually use it several times and not just test it, use it many times. Now I have a saw and a hatchet at base camp but when I'm on patrol and recon I never leave camp without my BK 2. I took the nylon belt strap off the sheath and I put the belt type tec lock off of a Ruike RKEF118G Jager F118 Fixed Blade Knife sheath, turned it 90' degrees and had to slightly match up the holes just a bit so the Chicago screw would go through and this aloud me to spin the knive 360' degrees in any direction without unbolting anything. I can change it while i have it on.

You spent 20 minutes looking at the knife and did nothing else with it. You should include using the knife even indoors on a piece of wood or something. If weather is bad wait till a sunny day. Bad weather is no excuse 👍

Just returned 2 Bravo's. Both came dull as a cheap kitchen knife and had rust marks on them out of the box. Also, the pins were not sanded smooth to the handles. Overall a rushed pair of knives and a slap in the face to me the customer. Never buying another! I bought TWO, so it wasn't just a "lemon".

Probably my favorite of the Kephart style knives that are out on the market, yet one that I would never consider buying due to the steep price they're asking.

Great field knife? Their 3V chips like crazy. If the toughest steel, that has the best edge stability, chips like this, then I don't want to see their other steel offerings. Grinds come uneven more and more these days,, and they also changed their sheaths. IF you can call a sheath, the the leather sleeve, that their newer made knives come with.
@richroc72 жыл бұрын
😂 yet they now have tens of thousands of followers on social media and they are so busy with production they can barely keep up. Selling out 500 knives in less than a week 🥳 nice try hater, you’ll never hurt BRK 😂
@greekveteran27152 жыл бұрын
@@richroc7 IT's not hating , when someone simply tells the truth. If I pay that kind of price, I want that kind of quality that I paid for. I want the knife at least in a proper level. Are you going to pay me back the amount of money I paid, to get an inferior product? How can I be a hater, when I have invested thousand of dollars on their knives??
@richroc72 жыл бұрын
@@greekveteran2715 then you must be a fool if you criticize their quality yet buy thousands of dollars worth of their blades. Regarding your money back, you know as well as anyone else who buys BRK’s that you can return for a full refund or send it in for a brand new knife or they’ll fix your uneducated abuse of the knife.
@greekveteran27152 жыл бұрын
@@richroc7 I live in the Southest part of Europe son, it almost costs more to ship a knife here, than the full price of the knife itself. Also, we don't have the chance, neither to see the knife we get, nor to get one of their best samples. I guess they send the factory seconds to Europe. I've seen many people, complaining for exactly the same reasons I complain about. Their quality, has gone downhill, their sheaths also, don't have the quality they used to be a decade ago. As you cover the truth, by trying to make me look like a liar or a fool, I also have the same right, to say my opinion which is 100 true. Both their grinds are uneven, and their heat treament is ruined, from their fast belts, when they try to remove all that steel to create their fu;l convex bevels. What you said, proves me right, because the quality droped, because of the high demand. PS The only thing, that could prove me a fool, is the fact, that I even replied, to such a disrespectful person like you, calling random old people fools, just because you don't accept the truth, or other peoples opinion.
@richroc72 жыл бұрын
@@greekveteran2715 why you buy so many then? That’s what makes your original comment foolish and senseless. You complain about them but buy thousands of dollars worth. You should’ve stopped after your first purchase but you kept buying so you must be a liar or a fool. Selling out quickly proves how awesome they are. I have several & I’ve never had a problem, every knife is perfect & performs just as well as it looks. And btw BRK doesn’t make seconds, stop buying if you don’t like them. 😉

The reason your knife feels so difficult to open sometimes is likely due to having your fingers touching the lock bar while you are attempting to deploy it. Just a tip!!

Want to sell/trade it? I have a Signature Series Microtech Troodon Hellhound in Carbon Fiber that I would trade for the Chaves and another (cheaper) knife. OR... I will trade you 2 ZT knives (ZT 0562CF, and a ZT 0450CF) for it if you’d rather do that. All of the knives are in NEAR MINT/LNIB condition and would come with all of their original paperwork and packaging, of course.

is the handle slippery? being polished it seems like it might get difficult to hang on to in wet or maybe bloody conditions? I typically use my knives to skin if I have them out in the woods so any insight would be appreciated.
@thedanishwoodsman12533 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The handle is polished but i would not call i slippy. The micarta gives i some texture, but most of all the couture of the handel gives you a secure grip. I can't imagine this knife being a bad choice for skinning. I hope i helps :)
