Hello! How the hell did you get the db killer out with such ease? I got this type of exhaust for my versys 650, drilled the rivet out but then had to put a stick on the intake part of the muffler and bang it with a hammer in order to get it out... Now I put it back in just in order to get the papers for the bike in order but I don't want to remove the muffler again.

Don’t do this if you had a minor Crash and tweaked the alignment. Way to much work to loosen the center bolt. Just loosen the triple clamp lower pinch bolts, work it, then tighten. If still weird, loosen the upper pinch bolts and work it. Done. If that fails, then you can try the center bolt, but you more then likely bent something at that point.

Are you still using this controller? Mine just stopped working. The Bluetooth is no longer detected and i see Carpe now has a different hub too. Their site also seems very outdated.. dont exactly feel like spending €120 on a replacement hub as it doesn't feel like a sound investment anymore 😅

Can someone tell me which position on the arm will engage the clutch the soonest ? I find with my std lever and clutch arm i have to pull the lever all the way into the bar for it to fully engage the clutch which is no good when you want to use two fingers and keep the rest wrapped around the bar crushing my fingers ! Also why wouldn’t anyone just use the furthest away setting on the arm for the easiest pull ?
@everythingtenere
@everythingtenere Ай бұрын
That would be the hole closest to the shift shaft. So it will bite quicker with less friction zone (heavier to pull lever). If put in the hole for the lightest pull, it will engage clutch at the same time, but it will be dragging for longer before fully engage the plates (long friction zone)

Deeper tools compartment means less cushion for the rider. That's not good. It's like heaving the same cushion thickness with more tools compartment.

I do like the homemade chin mount I've got, way prefer the angle and extra stabilisation you get, and you just generally get a good view at all times, even when sitting down. Also like that with the chin mount and the media mod fitted I can talk to the camera and generally get pretty good audio. In the UK you can't have anything camera wise fitted to your body anywhere so you have to put the camera on the bike, so I use a GoPro 360 for those races. I think it's a daft rule, the pros wear GoPros, was re watching the Erzberg rodeo the other day (they tended to be helmet mounted) I think it stems from Michael Schumacher, I've heard that's what did for him, he crashed skiing and it was his helmet mounted gopro that did the damage. Thanks for the insight, interesting.
@everythingtenere

I go with chin mount every day in the week for ADV riding. Think the helmet mounting can thing is actually in the FIM rulebook too, so not just some Svemo (the Swedish organization) bullshit 😅. I’ll see their point if we had 80’s equipment haha, a 4 kg camcorder ductaped to the side of the helmet 🤣

Great video! The cush drive bearing, unlike the main support bearings, have very little motion only there to accommodate the slight back and forth motion of the cush drive. Never seen a cush drive bearing fail. But, while it's all apart, replacing it is a good idea and easy.

I had to replace my front tire tube after 182 miles from brand new. I am told the factory didn't put the band on the rim correctly, which caused the spokes to rub on the tube. Luckily the bike is outstanding and kept me alive while ridding 10 miles on a flat going over 148 kmh 92 mph.

ABS fully OFF, so yea both wheels. If you want to be able to switch off only rear, then you would need a dual system, that can switch off the abs pump feed to the rear. In the case you never want abs on the rear, then plug the feed from the abs pump, and change the rear break pump. Only way to solve it I’m afraid.

I was about to buy Tenere but when i tested it out. I was surprised of the seat how low it was. Since then I haven’t look back to it. It felt very weird to be that low on such a big bike. I am used to have flat seat because of my supermoto. I guess with that rally seat it will feel a lot better and just like my supermoto.
