I am not sure with A/Me or A/E on mantid farming. Perhaps wastrels or sliver armor could damage without causing them to scatter, but I am not certain. There is a vaettir farm that A/Me works well on and is relatively safe with good xp rates if you are looking for a casual farm for survivor.

It scale on the other side of that too. Getting your weekly nick set easily nets you 150-200k gold per week right now.

Hopefully the video helps guide you in the right direction. I personally would recommend keeping up with the Nick gifts each week, that will net you a rather steady profit, even if you have to buy the items from someone. Good luck and welcome back!

The best way to get back into it is just to hop in and play. A lot will come back as you get back into it. Also make heavy use of the /wiki function to help with that learning curve ;)

A lot of it is just working with the timing of the pulls. The problematic ones tend to be the ones on the far wall (the last group). I would say try to let them run to you a bit so they ball more in line with the others chasing you. If I rush on ahead sometimes they stay wide and don't ball well. Without seeing a video of what you're doing I don't know what else to suggest. Hope this bit helps though!

@@camftw thanks for replying, I watched your vid again and took special note of the timing part. And I found out why I wasnt kill them all regularly. Balling up was one thing, but more importantly, I was not getting my EOE up fast enough. Meaning that I would activate my whirling defence too early, and that kills off a few of the mantids before the EOE is up, hence reducing the spike effect. The balling is now not 100%, but I am definitely getting more 20 mantid kills than before. Yay! Still good fun for a almost ?15 year old game? :)

@@lipsinggang The vigor isn't quite as "make or break" for this farm, just grab the highest available that you can. The -10 vs piercing is a MUST HAVE though as without it the Mantid damage will overwhelm the attacks that still penetrate past Shroud of Distress. Try to grab that and see if that improves your ability to do the farm.

@@camftw not necessary! On my assasin I use a shield with phys dmg -2 while enchanted and with a +45hp while enchanted mod, and it works just fine

@@quarion33 I suppose I should have clarified that there are options that meet at a middle ground that would also suffice, such as the -2/ench or -2/stance. Of those two the -2/ench is safer as ench uptime is guaranteed, whereas the stance has some downtime in the corner. +10 vs piercing is all around the safest option I believe, but you are correct in the statement that -2/ench would work perfectly fine too :) Thank you for pointing that out.

Excellent point! I don't know if the range is far enough to restrict the drops to just the character used for the farm, but if so that could be a way to further optimize the timing of the farm and allow for the ideal farming classes to be used regardless of campaign progression.

There are 10 new pve only elite skills, some of which are VERY strong. On top of that they released new weapons. A fast casting shield amongst other things

You aren't using the sword to attack at all here, so you actually don't benefit from the prefix at all. You can have anything there (or nothing) but I would recommend against zealous/vampiric as you will only get the negative effect (hp/energy degen) without the positive (+hp/energy on hit). TBH I have never tried this farm with anything other than A/R or R/A. I would be surprised if other builds of similar survivability couldn't do it though! I'd be curious to hear your results if you did it.

Kamadan is the main hub, but you can find speed clears forming in Embark Beach too.

The sweets and alchohol etc are used to grind titles for GWAMM.

As briefly mentioned in the video the Nick Gifts have exclusive items such as minipets, consumables (very good for record runs of speed clears), and tonics. People will buy the gifts often to try to get more of those items. Welcome back to the game! If you need anything feel free to hit me up.

Super Vigor fluctuates from 40-60k from merchant, sell for -5-10k less if you get a super vig drop (I've gotten 5 recently from chest runs and enemy drops). Nick gifts (or GotT as they are sometimes referred to in Kamadan) sell for 4 ecto each, or you can open them and hope for a rare mini like the Gwen Doll (not the mini Gwen, that's not worth as much as it used to be due to market flooding), Traveller's Walking Stick or Bo Staff, etc, more often you will get things like Rock Candies that help in PVE, Red (3 ecto), Blue (2 ecto), and Green (1 ecto), use them or sell them for ecto for yourself.

PvP: GvG is somewhat active, most else isn't incredibly populated. PvE: You can do it all, still a good population in general.

@@funnylad0043 Runescape probably, but you'll be competing with bots who can make gold 40X faster, and don't need to sleep. Next would be WoW but then you have to pay monthly subscription as well and you'll be in the negative more than you'll make. Eve online is the best way to turn ingame money to real life cash, but it's the most boring game you could play and is beyond time consuming. Don't play a game to make real life money, the amount of time you'll have to spend doing soulrending grinding (I'm talking doing nothing but the same thing over and over and over 40 hours a week, every week) just to get your account potentially banned, or to get scammed/ripped off or struggling to find someone to sell to if you don't already have the connections. You are better off spending that time learning how to code, and coding a bot to farm gold, then selling that bot code to people so they can use it. You will make far more money doing this than you ever will farming gold. But I don't even advise this either as its a nonstable money maker, and you will find yourself in the red more often than you will making net postive without the right connections. You will have to spend money to buy an account, then everytime you get caught botting spend 10-20 more dollars on another account. The reason current BIG botters and gold sellers can get away with this is because they are well established and produce enough money from ingame currency to offset the cost of buying new accounts everytime they're banned. tl;dr you'll spend 400+ hours of soulrending grinding, and approx 100$ to only make 10-20 dollars worth of profit. Not worth it.

wrong, DOASC is the best over anything :) nothing in the game is more profitable.

Your assumption was correct, with TB you can set a hotkey to use a LP on a selected chest, which will avoid the confirmation window pop-up and let you open from a distance. It is very high QoL for chest runs!

@@Ilurk247 Toolbox is a third party application that you download and run concurrently with the game. For the remote lockpicking, you can set up a hotkey to use a lockpick on a selected chest and toolbox does the rest. There are some features on toolbox I would recommend avoiding, such as the dialogues, as they are rather invasive and could get you banned. If you use your best judgement on toolbox it has a ton of great tools to improving your quality of life in gw :)

@@camftw ah yeah I have that but haven't used it much and there was some debate about it being a cheat/hack like letting people get obby armor without going through the required quests to get it, just hadn't heard it called TB before. My bro asked me to use it for auto running pcons in a speed clear dungeon. I was just learning the SC and died and got called a leech and a few others were being extremely rude (all wearing the same guild tag which I won't mention here), so I gave up on speed clears and don't really use the tool box. Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately, I have been having a lot of issues lately with my frame rate tanking which is really frustrating. I've tried reinstalling it many times but no luck, so this is the fix I run for now :/ Always open to suggestions to fix this :)
