Our area, like most, is being ruined by development and rental properties. Covid created a high priced market for housing. So unless you think a half a million for a nice house is cheap, Ellijay is pricey. The small town feeling is starting to disappear with the influx of second home purchasers. As far as working from home, unless you live in town, have had fiber optics installed, or have spent a lot of money on a satellite service, internet is sketchy and not powerful enough to support working at home.
