Both LCM and Imusicapella are excellent choirs; I think LCM won first place in the Sacred and Free Categories because of their outstanding sound production, however, Imusicapella had an advantage in their repertoire during the Grand Prix round. Their distinctive and soulful sound is definitely their trademark, besting all Grand Prix finalists. I was rooting for LCM as well, both deserve the title. Mabuhay and Korong Pilipino!

Agree! Likewise, what amazes me is that this is a new set of singers (mixed with approx ? 3-4 old members), and yet the quality of sound and the musicality remain the same! Grabe!

The blending and quality of kamer's choir, should I say was the best among all the competitors. This is also good but comparing it will put this definitely in 2nd place. Still beautiful though.

Grabe ang ganda ng tunog pati super balance! Still think Kamer won this EGP. 1. First song palang ng Kamer, kuha na agad yung attention. Di yon nagawa ng Imus kasi inuna yung period music which leads me sa 2nd point. 2. Kamer performed better sa period music. 3. There’s a feeling na sobrang technical nung approach nila sa songs especially sa last song. It honestly felt like you’re dancing in a box instead of dancing freely. Nevertheless, I still think 2nd sila. I do think na mas malinis yung tunog nila than Kamer pero di lang naman linis ang basehan. Yung Madz naman di ganon kalinis ang tunog pero malakas pa rin impact. Hehehe. There are so much intricacies sa choral music kaya nga yung mga judge dyan, mga may masteral and doctorate degree sa choral conducting / music. These people analyze in real time kung tama ba yung chord, yung pianissimo ba is the right pianissimo for the piece, tama ba yung singing technique na gamit ng choir for this period music, etc. So in short, wag na kayo magmarunong kasi di naman kayo aral. 🤦♂️

They should have varied their repertoire from poignantly silent to grand majestic sound. Most of these are just too loud
