Callisto Protocol is on my list of "Criminally Underrated and Misunderstood Survival Horror Games Ever" along with the first Evil Within. They asked for survival horror, and Glen Schofield gave them one. Some people just like to whine a lot. It's a beautifully crafted game. Apart from the constant jumpscares, the game really sets the desolation. The theme, the lightning and of course the combat 🤌.

Since they are going with gears of war E-Day whenever they decide to do Gears of war 6 JD needs to be the main character also it should be 2 separate stories for JD & Del. GOW E-Day will give them time to make a good GOW:6. I hope.

Both are good but I think Arthur's dialogue is better. When John is talking to Mr. Granger, he sounds like a voice actor. Arthur sounds like a real person existing in that world.

Part 4 was a glass half empty and part 5 was just empty. Part 3 sucked too after Dom died. 1 and 2 are master class. But a prequel nowadays? I really hope they don't do what I think they're going to do.

The game plays well, its fun. The story is ass. I miss the OG crew cracking jokes, kicking ass and overcoming insane odds through brotherhood and tenacity. I miss the 4 man squad, I miss Cole Train, Miss Baird. I know they are still there, but they are not the same, especially Baird. I also hate fighting the robots, they dont take cover and shooting them is unsatisfying. They just stand in the middle of the area and fire. And they ruined JD and Del. They were boys. They turned JD into an asshole and made Del ia no longer funny and instead he was the supportive guy friend. Ass.

If I could Rewrite Gears 5 I would do this: I would maintain act one and the parts that have JD on it, I feel like the start Is quite good and seeing old and famiar places is good. Having Said that: I would explore the relationship betwen marcus and JD and how they create bonds over the loss of friends and the fact that sometimes our desicions have really though outcomes. You could easily make Kait the villain and create a conflict of interest betwen Del and JD While changing most of the game towards an coming of age story for JD becoming what Marcus Fenix is

I just wish Tom bizel the writer would stop writing conflicts with the lore. They need to esta lish and actual time line. Gears tactics has you running around with both new and retro lancers. However, they fail to tell you when the game actually takes place. They mention chairman monroe yet a young prescott is the one firing the hammers of dawn. Between rams shadow dlc, pendulum wars, judgment and tactics i feel this guy has too many issues to effectively ensure the games follow certain principles. E day better have an explanation as to how monroe kicked the can. Timeline wise it should go from eday to judgement to tactics. However this writer has failed to establish the time line effectively. The other issue i have with the current games is they needs to establish an actual map of the world. Like how close to halvo bay to mount kodar compared to Jacinto or where lima was. You know who would be good for a character in e day. Characters that were actually alive before gears 1 and 2. Lets meet a yonger oscar. Lets meet rojas before he got his dome shot through. Younger version of bernie a d hoffman. But their needs to be a lore that has actual place and time events. I dont have much faith in tommy boys writing. Kait is basically borderlands 3 ava at this point and sadly if they dont fix this gears 6 sbouldnt be a thing.

after this video EDAY is going to make or break the gears of war franchise as a whole. And im not confident in the coalition at all. Their writing style, atmosphere, non existent detail to gore and story butchered the franchise. Eday will probably be just as bad

I agree with 98% of what is said in this video, except for 2 things: - I saved some times JD, because he's Marcus' son, and some times Del, because he's a cool character I respect as well. - the final sacrifice of the robot to save the situation is not meaningless. It has some sad vibes, I really think so. For the rest, Kait is a despicable character, a spoiled brat daughter of a "Mary Sue" and nephew of a "Karen". At least she brings on her legacy coherently. JD has been sacrified for her to be uplifted to be Gears flagbearer. What a sad failure. The choice to kill JD or Del is for me one of the worst plot twists I've ever experienced in a game. I really hate when I get to that part of the story. Every time. Fahz is a cool character just like Del and JD; he has taken the place of Baird as the group's asshole. Pity in gears 6 there must be a new character to fill the void of JD's or Del's death (which one is going to be canon?) The game is very good, though, with dinamic combat and a variety of situations that makes it very interesting, that's why I keep playing it, from time to time, in spite of Kait. PS: I consider Gears of war 4 a decent game, pity for the backtraking part in the first hive, and for the parts in which we must use the fabricator, really really annoying. The DBs are a really lame enemy.

I’m on board for E-Day, but Gears 6 is doa for me. I’m pretty sure I can enjoy almost any prequal content they could do but they killed any future they make to the gears timeline.

One thing I loved about this series and it's creater We're always talking about gaming audiences wanting the franchises to improve but when a company actually improves it, you hardly see any praise for it. There's very few game sequels that don't just expand the world and story brilliantly but also look at the errors of it's first game and improve on it massively The MC was bland as hell in the first game, in the 2nd one, they have him tons of character on the trauma he faced, the horrors he's facing again and his sadness over his wife. The gameplay is more level based and a bit open world with tougher enemies and you actually get catharsis over him overcoming much of the trauma he faced back in the real world. I hope it sold well cause I'd definitely love to see a third game about him facing Ruvik in the real world again.

Gears 5 was fine, I don't know why people hate on it so much. The campaign is great, horde is great I'm not a fan of the classes but other people seem to be. And kait is a much more interesting protag over JD who is the most vanilla standard video game protag I've ever seen. Revelations is maybe not getting a 3rd Game, but i think it's not forgotten. I playing it right now and also try to make some Guide on how to get some of the Achievements/Trophies. I think for someone like me, only playing 4 and 5 so far, Revelations is something Gameplay wise, i would play on every Resi Game (maybe not always with an AI/Coop Player) The only big difference comes to avoid dmg, where on the first Game, you have to w8 until you get attacked, which can be hard to understand first, because you can not train the button combinaton and if do wrong, you get hit, so you try to just run away. But i think this comes to the fact, that it was original an 3DS Games (a very good looking 3DS Game)

I forgot to mention that Barry adopts Natalia after the game’s ending and she starts to show signs of awakening, but capcom doesn’t care about it and has never brought it up again so neither should we. Also i meant to say revelations 2 @ 58:47

Edit: My bro who is a day 1 player of Gears 1 actually saved Del, at this point we couldn't take the game seriously at all and had to just check if they would really go forward with that dumb choice..
