Shows everything but the 1 question I’ve been looking for. Can you leave the propane tank on when you’re not using it on the forklift or is it always supposed to be shut off when not in use ???

The propane container may be left “on” when not in use, however, it is a proactive safer process to turn off the fuel source/propane container when the forklift is not going to be in use for an extended length of time (such as overnight or during “closed” hours of operation).

Wear a respirator and goggles that seal around your eyes. You don't know what kind of paint was used on these, and ANY particulates that you inhale can be at minimum an irritant, but potentially much worse.

Although the Propane Industry and it’s delivery procedures appear very similar to the Flammable Liquids Industry (Heating fuels and Vehicle motor fuels), there are very different requirements for PPE and delivery process Engineering controls to ensure employee safety during the transfers. The items you mentioned are much more common, if not required, for the transfer of Flammable Liquids that fall under the guidelines of NFPA 30, and are critical when the transfer of flammable liquids is performed with non-pressurized Cargo tanks and containers with vapor spaces at, or very near flammability ranges. Whereas the delivery of propane falls under the guidelines of NFPA 58, and the engineering controls it factors into the transfer of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, it is clearly outlined within that the risk of a release of product, and its potential ignition, is greatly reduced, if not eliminated during normal transfer operations. At Paraco Gas, compliance with the appropriate regulations applicable to the industry are continually reviewed, researched, and implemented with strict enforcement to provide a safe work environment for all of our employees, and our customers.

@@RodEvens the truck I use has a remote so it unreal itself ,I just gotta walk with it .and it reels itself up as well .it's handy when I'm climbing thru 5 ft of snow
