Bro how are you not going to finish the video with “this is a 30,000 gallon propane tank and you can’t have it lol” keep up the good work Will.

Good video. Finding info on lpg tanks is like looking for hen's teeth.

But,, how do you measure the tank??? The BBQ version, for example; are you measuring the cylinder height only or the entire "unit", from the bottom to the top of the collar??

Can I mount 2 200lb propane tanks on a small flat bed trailer? And take it to get filled whenever I need?

Would've been better if you'd stood next to the larger tanks in full frame to keep the size comparison going.

Yours is the only site which describes the 200 lb. tank, known commonly as a "piglet." Widely used here in New England, along with its larger cousin, the 420 lb., or "pig" tank.

He's giving gallon capacity at FULLY filled capacity, but propane tanks are only filled to 80% capacity to allow for expansion inside the tank. 0:40 a 100 pound tank at 80% capacity would only hold a little less than 19 gallons not 24 gallons. Propane tanks are not filled to 100% capacity. 1:05 - 420 pounds would only hold 79 gallons at 80% capacity, not 120 gallons or 96 gallons. Deduct 20%.

That is not correct. 420s hold about 100 gallons at 80% same as a 100lb tank. It holds about 23 gallons at 80%. You can look at the water capacity on each cylinder to do the math. The liquid capacity is about 28 gallons for a #100lb cylinder. We called them 28s for years.

propane tanks are sized according to the mass of propane they are designed to contain. a 20lb tank is designed to hold 20lbs of propane no matter what the actual volume of the liquid is, depending on temperature. this is why tank exchange like blue rhino is a rip-off because they only fill their 20lb tanks to 15lb, and tell lies about how it's unsafe to fill them to a full 20lbs.
