I left my World at War’s multiplayer screen on while talking to a friend in party chat and this tracks eeriness and it feeling of being unknown really captivates this whole game. Even after you raise the Soviet flag over the reichstag in the campaign, you’re still not left with happiness or any uplifting feelings. Instead the game reminds you that around 60 million people lost their lives in this war, perhaps even more. It shows that war is not a fight about who is right, it’s about who is left.

I always used to wonder what was the ringing at 0:24 and I always thought it was some ambience outside the map. Another one is at 0:19 I always thought that that was something dropping inbound😮

I’ve been looking for this soundtrack for years. I have some weird spiritual connection to this one. I always thought it had a name to it. It’s so eerie, but profound. The fog and the tank in the menu are perfect.

Are you also someone who has this deep, sort of spirted connection to call of duty world at war? This game doesn't feel like a call of duty entry, its this strange, half observed, surreal journey into a otherworldly perspective on mankind's darkest days. It can portray in a few minutes the strangeness that artists can spend their whole lives trying to create.

Christ, been looking for this one for years. Thanks for the upload. I remember playing a mod a long time ago that featured it to a greater degree than the base game, its been in my head ever since. Sounds like a bad dream; whispers in the ears, confusion in the brain. Bit of a curiosity -- in the base game I think it only plays in this one room, nowhere else(?)

World at War and Americas Army 3 back in the day. Just hearing a gunshot alone was terrifying, it almost always meant certain death if you were hit. This theme among others only went to emphasise the sadism of conflict. I wonder how many of those real soldiers thought and felt generations ago, going into this knowing they were going to be slaughtered.

I do remember someone describing the WaW soundtrack as "tone deaf" when it came to the setting. Of all the WW2 games I've played, no other soundtrack comes to mind that are as memorable to me, with the exception of the soundtrack from Medal of Honor: Frontline. The soundtrack to this game is one that I remember well.

This game was different and didn't feel like typical world war 2 game we'd already seen done a gazillion times. It was dark and the soundtrack was added to that creepy and dark vibe. War is not suppose to be fun or heroic. This game doesn't glorify war

you got here, you don't remember anything, only blood stains on your palms make you remember. everywhere the bodies of elite soldiers of the combine mixed with stalkers. these dark cries and dark noises make you feel a dark sense of hopelessness. Freeman was here, the Citadel is about to explode, you won't get out...

I've been looking for the version of Sullivan's Death that plays in the end cut scene, complete with the bagpipe solo. It's good to see that the multiplayer soundtracks are around though.
