@@frednicolosi8880 lol, that’s exactly what I thought when I first started researching the repairs. I think when it comes down to it, as long as the prep is done right and the epoxy creates a good bond it shouldn’t really matter which way it’s done. I found most did the big patch first so it bonds all the layers together that are already on the hull. Most of the research I did made the repairs the same, big patch first.

Natural seepage can be seen coming out of cliffs along the shore. In particular at Carpentaria Beach South of Santa Barbara. Hence the Indiginous tribes built boats out of wood and sealed them with the oil/tar. Carpentaria was named by the Spanish for the place that carpenters built the boats.

I'm curious which starlink plan was necessary to have the connection offshore or in Polynesia. Were you able to use the 150$ mobile regional plan and then pay extra per gb? Or was a higher tier plan required? Thanks and I've enjoyed seeing some of your videos through FP!
@CruisingMeraki4 ай бұрын
@@tcarden86 it was during the early trial days and starlink wasn’t as regulated. We just had a basic plan but now times have changed.

Those who have watched the movie Jaws know that hearing this sound can be scary especially in the silence of the night until you hear a loud bang as someone tries to wreck the boat. These moments of horror were experienced by the captain of the Orca boat Quint and his team Brody and Hooper when a bloodthirsty shark attacked them and took one of the team members as its prey. At the end of the movie, the shark is finally eliminated when police chief Brody kills it, even Hooper survives with just a scare!!! Probably Brody also felt fear inside when he heard the song of the whales and his blood froze with terror because he was afraid of the sea and maybe he was also afraid of being eaten 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

The kids didn’t seem very excited about the crab, but I would have been over the moon to get a crab dinner in the middle of nowhere 😊 I was hoping for the adult perspective on the quality of coconut crab versus other types of crab. Too bad you didn’t have the drawn butter🙁

Very cool place to stop. Here in Maryland, USA we love our crabs, although they are different species... nothing better to eat. I saw your Meraki sailboat for sale on YachtHub... what a bargain for her next owner. All the extensive refit video is on this channel for her lucky new owner to review prior to purchase. The US dollar is at a very good exchange rate... but falling... so act quick. Not the right time for me, but someone is going to get a great ocean crossing yacht. It's so cool to me that the boys got to sail to their Dad's homeland, and then spend some time there. It's been great following you from the beginning and I wish you all the best of luck.

Hello from NZ , my 29 ft yacht has superficial but extensive blisters and I am in the process of getting quotes for remediation. The process they use at the yards is to plane it then use heated vacuum blankets to dry out the laminate on an accelerated basis. Then i think once the moisture content is below a certain reading they apply 2 layers of vinyl ester resin with cloth and then I presume epoxy barrier coats over that. The whole process takes 5 weeks approx. The laminate can dry out on a natural basis but it takes a very long time. I have been quoted $18000 plus tax and hardstand fees.

We love your little KZbin channel. It was lovely to get an update and I am sure Meraki will sell quickly. She looks to be in great shape. One comment you mentioned made me sit back and worry. Fiji food prices are cheap. Yikes, we lived in Fiji for 10 years and return to Oz early in the Pandemic. We found Fiji food prices to be double Australia’s. Fruit and veg was good at the markets and great seafood at the docks but everything else horrendous. This makes me worry about us ever going to USA Mexico etc and then to French Poly. It sounds expensive 😳😬
@CruisingMeraki7 ай бұрын
I’m shocked you found fiji more expensive than Aus!!! We found groceries very expensive in Australia and love shopping the local markets here, we definitely avoid (for the most part) imported goods.
