it comes in cab chassis single and double and comes with a tub also. Vehicle was awesome.

I just bought one today 2024.11.19 here in Canberra to take on a sea journey to Papua New Guinea for a friend who runs clinics, teaching clinics, marine and aeromedical rescue. Starlink is not yet approved in PNG but we are in a hurry to use it for very needy situations where communication is difficult in an multi-island environment. The use of USB-C for DC power supply interests us greatly for obvious reasons.

They should make them the size of a tacoma its like the perfect size and chuck a v8 in it would be nice.

It all sounds very interesting and great that ford are trying to play outside the box that everyone else is doing ............... but with a beefed up components ( chassis wheels tyres and everything else that goes with a 4500 gvm) its going to add extra weight to the car itself. The thing I dont understand is how it can mathematically tow 4500? I mean the ball weight would assumedly need to be somewhere near 400-450 kilo. I dont understand why they limit say 4500 gvm and 4500 tow but limit gcm to 8000? To tow 4500 the car would need to be pretty close to stock and empty? What are your thoughts on this Ty

If it's a dual cab it'll have to be an extended chassis compared to current wheelbase, more likely it'll be an upgraded Space Cab variant with the V6 Diesel and upgraded powertrain cooling with load carrying ability for rear axle.

It’s interesting because the ranger has so much potential with some engineering tweaks. You actually nailed what they will do. Some chassis engineering, tougher suspension and some tuning to the engine will make it an even stronger Ute. You also hit it on the head, Ford are ramping it up and will be a game changer.

Has anyone here with the Starlink Mini connected it to a router for use inside a caravan? While Ty suggests that it should be fine outside the van (and near it), depending on the caravan park you may have to run its power lead and antenna unit further out to get a clear view of the sky (ie. away from the park's trees, etc.).

Looking at something like this for the caravan. Will this work under a caravan awning or does it have to be out in the open? And is its wifi signal strong enough to be received inside a van given that most of them are metal clad boxes? If not, the other option, I guess, is to run an ethernet cable into the van and hook it up to a wifi router or access point. If you do that will the wifi in the unit outside still work? Thanks.

I do like the large engines and have had both Ram and F150, but the "older" raptor with it´s 2.0D is just solid. The larger ones just cost alot over here and fun for a few days but then less fun stop for fuel all the time. My 2.0D drinks way less and just fels solid when driving alot. Love my 2020 Raptor..:))

None of the raptors have more nm than that 200 series landcruiser. They are rated at 650nm stock. The raptors has more nm than the single turbo 70s series landcruiser yes. Get your fact right, especially when you doing a car show. That 200 will leave you guys in the dust when it comes to towing.

Hello Ty, we’ve been off grid in Qld for 7 years now but haven’t put in an air con system yet. These have always sparked my interest. One question though. When it switches over to your main 240v battery system at night, How many KWs will you use overnight until the next morning ? Do you change the temp setting or run it on ‘dry’ mode ?… we have 16KW batteries (Lithium) and concerned our system would drain too much overnight… Cheers

I drive one of the last f150s with 8 ft box and 4 doors. They discontinued them for 2024. 😢. My truck is faster than my WRX. It’s nice to listen to a review that does not make the XLT trim a poor man’s truck. I’m looking at changing my interior to a leather take off a mint wreck. I’m a contractor and leather just cleans way easier.

I'm not 100% sold on the remote key-start thing. I know the app is very slow and frustrating, but if you have to be close to the car and within normal keyfob frequency range to start it, then why not just simply open the door and start the car as normal? At least with the app, it can be done from anywhere with a phone signal. Or maybe I'm wrong??
