That was funny when you opened the door and they were all in the water. Good time and good eats.

Devastating, but they turned out great.

I enjoyed the very small handful of ice you moved away from the hole to make it better 😂

Honestly, with these stocked trout it just seems to be hit or miss for me.

Wow never seen a lake in the metro like this where there's not 1 house on it. Nice try bud lol

More of a pond really. There was only a couple inches of ice, so not many people were out. It was also a weekday.

Great video! Question, how heavy is that smitty sled? I like the design but i wonder how it pulls in snow and slush?
@LightFootKale6 ай бұрын
It's maybe 20 lbs. It's awesome over snow and slush, stays on top very well. Can't even tell it's there on ice. Just a little tougher to turn than other sleds.
@Rackhead3576 ай бұрын
@@LightFootKale sweet, thank you. I'm going to build my first Smitty this year and I'm looking for ideas.

@@Rackhead357 I just went to a kinda pawn shop/thrift store for the skis. They were 2 dollars. 2x 8 for the legs, with angle bracket for more support. A sheet of 3/8" plywood I had laying around. 2x4 across the legs underneath the plywood. Mine was very simple. I'm sure people have made a lot better looking ones, but this is perfect for me. Could send you pictures if you want.
@Rackhead3576 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with using what ya got dude. I got my skis for free luckily. Building the frame out of recycled 2x6's. I was going to just make a simple frame to carry my sled but I like the deck you make. I need to make mine light because I'm old lol

Did you do anything extra with the wiring, or use what came with the system? Your set up looks great. Simple to do.

Actually, I forgot. When I got the amped outdoors 32ah lithium, it comes with a little piggy back system so you don't have to unplug anything to charge it. And there is room for 2 32ah batteries for long trips.

Kick ass video with some kick ass music. Can’t believe all hook ups from the follow up pitches after the missed hook sets. They must’ve been eatin that day🤙🏻
@LightFootKale5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, one weird thing, they were kinda hanging out in packs of 2 to 3. Seemed if I caught one and then made the same cast, another would bite. I've never really seen that fishing in shallow reeds. All day too.
