He's sleeping,when he's in the center he's awake and when he's on the side he's asleep 😅 . I just got this mold myself can't wait it should be here in a day or so. I also have a 3D printer so I plan on making my own little objects to put in the middle of eggs and other things. Thank you for sharing now I know how to suspend my dragon.

I'm new to this and I've a simple question ... if I made a template from mdf what should I cover it with to stop the mould pour soaking into the wood? I was thinking bees wax!

You can try sealing it with acrylic spray, mod podge or some type of sealer.

Can you use UV resin instead of epoxy resin as the last layer so that it can set faster?

Yes, but UV resin tend to be more expensive. So it might get pricy if you're making a bunch!

Do you use the vaccum before you pour the resin or pour the resin into the molds and put the filled molds into the chamber? Very unclear on which way to do it

After mixing part A and B put the resin cup in the machine, then pour.

I have this mold set and I LOVE them! And I really like the look of the color combo you used! I'm going to try to replicate it as best as I can! The only difference with mine, which I got from Temu, is it only came with ONE teacup mold...and as you said... Duplicating can be very difficult! However, I did happen to see that Temu is now selling just the cup molds, so you can purchase an additional 2 or 3, and have a whole set! But until I get them, I fill the clear cover mold whenever I have a little bit of leftover clear resin! That way I always have some at the ready! Beautiful job! Plus... you made me think differently on filling the shakers with liquid! I may leave my next set dry! OH! AND, BTW... I ALSO overfilled the base mold, and actually managed to get mine covered without it spilling over! But it wasn't until after I got it to that point that I too realized those slots were meant to remain open... 🤦🏼♀️🫣😂😂😂😂

I had the thought of finding some aqua beads, making some designs, and then setting them in resin (either to use as charms or just to protect them over time), so I’m glad it’s something that’s been done before in a similar way! Do you still have these, and if so, how have they held up over time? Did lingering moisture affect the curing process in any way, or have the beads done something weird like shrink/separate from each other or the resin?

With shallow molds, sometimes it's hard to move it after pouring. Also, I don't recommend putting uncured resin in spaces where you also make food.

Hello, thanks for the video! Is the casting totally rigid like a solid block of plastic? Or does it have some give? I saw a guy using polyurethane resin for a helmet casting, and it was fairly flexible. But he used some smooth-on stuff that is real expensive lol

This is pretty hard and solid. It would not be useful at all for a helmet.

If you’re not going to put liquid in it then seal the whole! Water can get in when you wash them if you don’t.
