ty for this exercise. my hand often gets tired due to the pressure. another obstacle im facing is wrist pains when playing barre chords. experienced guitarists have told me its just muscle fatigue and it will go away with practice, but to me it feels different. its a sharp pain that quickly intensifies, like pinching a nerve. hopefully someone knows what im talking about and can share their experience
@GlenndeRoo28 күн бұрын
Listen to your hands; look at what your doing when you feel that sharp pain so you know what causes it. Then try to replace it with a 'technique' that doesn't hurt your hand. I don't know enough about your issue so I can only give you some general advice. Glenn

@@GlenndeRoo Thanks g! *My unprompted two cents as someone online too much, with bad attention: Relying on your audience to take the initiative to find something is an easy way to lose potential engagement. I've started seeing more of your content and I like it but a lot of it is cut so that it doesn't show the full point or have a call to action. Likely leading to lower engagement (shares, comments, likes, subscriptions etc)

Hi, thank you for a very usefull video. Could you please extend the explentation to barre chords? I have learned that you have to not press the index finger hard, but kinda lean the weight of your hand on the neck to create the pressure, therefor using less stress. the thing is, after alot of practice I still find it very painful to play through the CAGED system for more than few minuts. The tension is very noticable. What am I doing wrong?
@fischman26-ChinaАй бұрын
I have the same problem. I have been experimenting with playing part of the barre chord at times, releasing the tension on various fingers and creating more interesting patterns. No more time for writing, it is time for me to practice.
@GlenndeRoo29 күн бұрын
I will make a video about it.

Hello, thank you for the video! I have a doubt/ video suggestion: I play guitar for a while now and I still can't do a perfect bar for Fmin, Gmin...(Em shape) Always letting the G string fail. So I only press E B G, is it acceptable? I simply can't make all notes sound perfect with a bar.
@GlenndeRoo28 күн бұрын
I made a video about improving your Barre Chords. Check it out, maybe it helps.

Can’t you just get the e in tune and tune the a by playing 5th fret e
@GlenndeRooАй бұрын
That's also possible

My hands cramp when stretching the hand across the fret board and when I play a while. Also, my wrist will hurt when playing for an extended amount of time. What are some technique fixes or stretches I could use to allieviate the strain
@lewis18nolan20Ай бұрын
Be careful how much pressure you are putting on your thumb as you go across the fretboard
@GlenndeRooАй бұрын
It's quite normal what you're experiencing. Your hands have to build up strength and agility. Focus on consciously releasing the tension in your hand. An effective exercise is to press and release a string while being conscious of how much pressure you apply.
