I’m no longer in Bulgaria however now we are out of the EU, a car from Germany would have to be imported into Bulgaria if you’re going to stay long term and there will be a cost attached to that, at the same time you will pick up a better vehicle in Germany as the ones in Bulgaria Tend to be a bit misused. Please bear in mind I am no longer in Bulgaria so things may have changed.

10,000 would buy you a house and bring it up to very basic British standard, (just). However you would not be able to find work other than possibly through/for other expats , I would not recommend going to Bulgaria with your daughter with only 10,000 in your pocket, maybe as a single you would get by but not with the child. If you have a form of income like a pension you would have no problems but earning money there is not really feasible, especially now that we have left the EU. Sorry this won’t be a what you want to hear.

I’ve been in Scotland in lockdown since the beginning of this virus, hoping to have the vaccine soon and to travel back to the Philippines around April. Don’t know quite where I’m going to settle. Enjoy your trip I envy you so much

I converted a van in lockdown to a camper but didn't get away much due to covid, a weekend on the west coast was all but hopefully next year will be a better year 🤞

Evance Ahenkorah I have not been in the Philippines for over a year because of the lockdown, however as I remember it you can only get up to six month extensions on a Tourist Visa. You require a marriage/retirement type Visa for anything longer, as I understand it you can get 3 to 5 years worth of six months extensions before you have to leave the country. Let me know how you get on.

I know I’ve been lazy, this lockdown when you don’t have to do anything which which you do nothing at all, not a lot to put on the travel channel when you’re sitting in the same carpark for over seven months.
