I never liked my hook through the body of the senko. I feel like you have less hook point to go into the fishes lip.

Does this hook hold zman baits good?

Love the redesign! But what do we do with the original wacky shot? I actually stopped throwing them because they hung up so much.

It’s nice to see people coming up with innovative tackle that’s practical and actually catches fish not just fisherman
@dustinwalker81529 күн бұрын
That’s the most innovative weighted wacky rig hook/head to date. I’d love to see one with a heavy wire hook and double wire guard. It would come through the nastiest of stuff. I’d actually start throwing a wacky rig regularly if I was able to skip a wacky rig on 20-25# fluoro into bushes, cypress trees, over hangs, thick lay downs, etc. I really dig what y’all are doing with Core Tackle. Matt, Johnny, and anyone else involved, keep up the good work and I hope 2025 is a great year for y’all.

Already bought some and they definitely work but wish you could get it unpainted. I can watch em turn away on FFS and I have to think it’s the hook. Follow up bait would get em in the boat

Don’t know about everyone else but my catch per bite ratio with the original Wacky Shot sucks.
@waltergurly40409 күн бұрын
I catch a lot of fish on the original wacky worm. Taking a guess you probably didn't feed them quite long enough and I never set the him extremely hard
@michaelloucks44489 күн бұрын
Hey matt even though you have a exposed hook I think you're still not going to as snagged up as opposed to a jighead. . I want to get better with swimbaits I've never had much success with swimbaits I'm 60 yrs old but I'm not a pro fisherman but any means I'm am amateur but I know these swimbaits catch lots of bass . Hey Jimi I've never used a Tokyo rig I want to purchase the vmc finesse Tokyo rig .

How much come on let's go I'm just kidding bud Johnny at almost 60 I still got the fishing fever.. thanks for the videos in the past I've seen on how to read your fish finder better great stuff. I don't get a chance to watch every video you do. But you always have some kind of key information on whatever you're talking about and it's awesome. God bless you and your family. Ps I think I should start calling you professor Johnny. Great content Johnny.

Hey Johnny nice job on all these baits you and Matt are building. I can't believe how it comes through the brush piles I live in Missouri so I think that should be in my line up .

*Little pro tip to avoid buying 4 dollar hooks for a mf wacky rig:* Buy soft lead split shot, not the normal ones from Walmart. They’re cheap, and you can squeeze and mold them around your hook. No point in buying hooks that are so technique specific and waste your money
@davidgerdes18159 күн бұрын
Not a bad idea, but the novel part is the screw keeper, which makes your bait last longer. Also your setup has no weedguard
@610MRA9 күн бұрын
Use a wacky ring then, it’s a better presentation than a spring anyway
@Maxiumus_Mausimus9 күн бұрын
I looks like the spring takes way the “bite” of the hook. I agree, you can go about this cheaper and save some money. It’s a wacky for god sakes.

Awesome design. So refreshing to see someone actually trying to create new inventive tackle. Side note, I used the OG Wacky Shot this fall on a Magnum Fluke screwed into the nose and it killed.

Hey Jonny do you mind listing the color in the description along with the link. I think when tacklewarehouse link comes up it defaults to the main listing and I would like to know those specific colors at least for the spro, rogue and lucky craft lures if you don't mind, thanks.
@edwardwicht527113 күн бұрын
Loved it! JBs catch fish, big fish, that won’t bite other lures. Totally agree with the right distance principle. Used to think the closer you got it too then, the better. Not true! There is a distance where they are able to successfully catch prey each day. The challenge is to figure out what that is. Btw, not that you need advice from me, but the MB Nanahans are amazing when the bass are on threadfin and threadfin sized prey.

Funny, because I use a snap swivel on my MegaBass jerkbaits. One, it's reduces line twist, and two, it helps that jerkbait slow sink with its head down, and I smash em on Tablerock! I seldom find that any of my MegaBass jerkbaits suspend straight out of the box in cold water, they all have a slow sink to some degree!
