Surprise, surprise....every lens mentioned is a Sony lens. B and H really needs to get someone to cover this topic that gives a comprehensive review of all the gear available, including Sigma, Tamron, etc.... There are a lot of small lenses out there. It is an interesting topic and deserves better (and non-biased) discussion IMO.

A photographer friend of mine has recently self published a very nice photography book. What is the best means of finding a commercial publisher that does retail busines. Last question we are doing a photo shoot today of a local craftsman and the goods he makes. Could be a good opportunity to sell some prints to the public of the items he makes. What is the norm on selling prints and proceeds between the photographer and the craftsman.

Big fan of Randy and the band lamb of god. Been a fan since the early 2000s. Such an interesting dude. I learned a lot here about photography and I appreciate the art. Although I have a poor eye for "good" photography 😅😅 Thanks for the great interview session. 👍

Hi. I just entered the following comment and it immediately disappeared, so I am asking again. I recently discovered a software by the name of EXCIRE. Do either Cathi or Shlomit have any experience with this software? It seems to be directed at the "discovery and categorization" of images rather well. Would this be one type of software that would lend itself to this sort of business? Thanks.
@shlomit_studioslb5 күн бұрын
I haven't tried it yet myself yet but I have heard of it. It's very likely a tool that could be used in this business.

We have just started talking with this company and will have our members test the software to determine if it fits well.

@@thephotomanagers Cathi. That's wonderful. I think from what I have discovered about it, that it may be another useful tool. May even be one of the better approaches to the issue. I'd be interested to be kept in the loop of what you and your team are able to discover. And Thank You for the response.

At my age I'm always looking to lighten my load, particularly for travel, yet still maintaining quality. I tried the smaller lighter Sony lenses, but I preferred the more traditional setups. For travel I use two A7CR cameras, a 16-35 GM II, and the 70-200 F4 Macro. When home I use two A7RV cameras, the 24-70 GM II, and the 70-200 GM II. To round out my kit I have a 14mm GM, a 200-600 G, and 1.4 and 2.0 teleconverters. I've always used tripods. My home tripod is a Gitzo 1325, which I've had for over 20 years and my travel tripod is a Gitzo 2545. Buy the best you can afford. Like most of my equipment, I bought both used. And a lot of my gear comes from B&H. But, above all else, buy what works for you.
