@@xaviananderson4945 This was a cars and coffee type thing out in Vacaville by the Kaiser. A fab shop named Tams Fab puts it on every 2nd Sunday of the month. About 40 cars. I was going to go to Ball Metal show Saturday but work got in the way lol.

@CCAutoWorks I like them all. The orange one had pearl paint that you can see just a bit in the beginning. The blue one had gray painted bumpers, grill, ect that I really liked. The red one and thr black and red that's always a winner. I like Novas a lot but that piller in-between the front and rear windows for reason I have a problem with lol. Have you guys ever had a vacuum secondary Summit carb? I'm just wondering what spring they come with. The Summit website doesn't show anything. All I could find on forums was they come with "extremely stiff secondary springs" which makes since. You can put it on anything and the secondaries won't open to soon and bog. So just wondering if you had any experience with'em?

@@BPattB no I hate vacuum secondaries because anything with a big cam is to hard to dial it in

@CCAutoWorks if Summit made a 600DP, I would have gone with it. I wonder if the 750 would be too much carb. 302 with 289 heads. Not a lot of flow lol.

@dalehess6265 so it's actually not stock. It has opposite side inlet outlet, stock they were both on the passenger side. It works great and the leak was tiny. If you want it I'll send it to you if you pay for shipping.

I have a question for you. I'm not sure if I can explain it right over the comment section, but here goes. On your summit carburetor when the engine is cold if you manually open the throttle and push the choke plate open and release the throttle will the choke plate stay open????

@@CCAutoWorks not since the radiator gave up. It was leaking on to the fan and spraying the coolant all over. Lol

@CCAutoWorks I responded to your comment and went on and on about the issues I'm having with the Summit carburetor and the high idle. I'm not sure if that comment showed up. I wasn't even finished, and it disappeared. FML, I can't even ask about this carb without being sabotaged

@CCAutoWorks man, the 2 Edelbrock were so trouble-free, lol. Summit was like, "Send it back." I told them, "Just send me the manual choke kit. " Crickets. There isn't one. I'm going to try it with a bent linkage (summit told me to), and if that doesn't work, I've got to take the choke spring off and zip tie the choke open. If that solves the problem, at least I know the choke is the problem. Man, I've had a taste of the Dark Side, and Edelbrock doesn't come close. On a stock type engine, they are fine, but it is night and from Edelbrock to the Summit on my car. If if I have to go no choke, it will be worth it lmao

@CCAutoWorks I've seen the combs, and it's probably the right way, but I've never had one sooooo lol.

@barrydevlinred I should have showed the size for reference. Oops. C&C was pointing out how they make combs specially for this. Something to consider.

@barrydevlinred it's a runner for sure. 347 making @415 hp. He's going to Hot August Nights in Reno this weekend. I understand if you've never heard of it because you literally are 1/2 the world away, but it's one of the biggest car events in the western US.

Hey man I just got some more news on the Vacaville car show, the car show at the Burger spot has been delayed from the 7th and now moved to the 31st of August. It's supposed to be on Main Street Downtown Vacaville next to a little Chinese spot. My bad for commenting so much on your channel I had no idea the car show got delayed until just now.

@CCAutoWorks nope not yet. I drove the car and went from cruse to wot all over the rpm range and it never boged. So if anything the secondary are coming in a little late. I figured that's OK for now, I'm. Not lean when they come in. I'm probably leaving a bit of power on the table. I want to see if I need idle feed restricters. Or the feed restricters for the pump shot. Or the secondary can kit lol. I'm trying to set the secondary now. It will definitely idle it's just rich. I'll let you know what happens. BtW did ya'll get a new shop? That last video looked different.

@@BPattB we built that shop few years ago to put some lifts in but lifts got to high so we have just used it to store cars in

@CCAutoWorks hey ya'll I'm in need of opinions. I sent the 600dp Brawler back. It had obvious flaws like transfer slots that were different lengths. So now I'm looking at another Brawler DP , A Summit 600 vacuum secondaries, or a FST 600DP only problem is no one knows when it shows lol. If you oreder one today what would it be?

If I was building or having built, I would have gone with hydraulic rollers just because of valve adjustment. The sound has grown on me though lol. I can hear the difference from 019 to 023 on one exhaust valve now. I kept asking a buddy " you hear that?" He couldn't untill we checked with a screwdriver to the ear. I should probably replace the poly locks. I have a couple that just seem to back off. Or maybe it's that really good Penn Grade One oil I'm using. So slick my whole engine is going to come apart.

Lol I did borrow that saying. "Sewing machine " are what soild lifters are supposed to sound like. I think I read "drunk Sewing machine" somewhere. And yeah the Camaro neighbors are amazing. I am a lucky MF to have them!!!!!!

I've already been welcomed to the dark side lol. It runs really strong man. All I had to adjust was the idle speed screw, floats a bit, and the secondary butterflies for some reason were very open. I cracked them a bit more then were they were supposed to be because I only have 7 inches at idle. I did change the power vlave to a 3.5 from the 6.5 it came with for the same reason. I ruffed in the 4 corners. All of a sudden my car has a evil twin lol

@@BPattB see! Im telling ya holley style carburetors are the best! What size carburetor was on there before, I forget? The same size holley will actually flow more then the same rated edelbrock......and well mechanical secondary for the win obviously 😁

@newguysgarage6802 you were right the most recent Edelbrock was a 600. I did run a Edelbrock 650 also. I figured the 4150 600 should be at a minimum in between. Like you said add on the double pumper with the manual transmission and I think with the 4150 I'm probably getting a good amount more fule then both the Edelbrocks. I'll have another video coming soon.

Lol. "Surely not." I got it up and running tonight. Took a bit of messing with. Man, the car acts completely different with that thing! They definitely went above and beyond with all the details. It's all 2 stage paint for sure. I can't wait till it's done. It's going to be something special!
