I switched to Cubase. I am not going to pay a monthly fee for my DAW. Cubase much easier, same features for me, some amazing features that Studio One does not have.

miss the streams. hope all is well. been dabbling in bitwig myself so this has been a solid watch. i love the transient splitter thing in bitwig so much. some insane tools there. lack of vertical zoom with mousewheel and modifier drives me insane but tools probably worth it. continuing to dive deep. 0 crashes in a week. opened s1 just to capture the plugin image for my new arturia plugins for the s1 browser and it crashed from that. wasnt even making music just trying to spend 5 minutes to keep my stuff organized lol..

this makes sense to me now the stuff I see in 6.5 you can not do and it looks totally different like the chord rack. I am brand new to studio one just downloaded it a couple of days ago. Can I download 6.5 instead. i paid for the monthly subscription. I was using reaper for a few years and needed something different with out all these crazy issues.

If not I might as well cancel the prescription if I can’t get what I need. I’ve been using reaper daw for a few years looking for something different for the same reasons. Always running into issues. Well that’s a good question. I think we may see this when we’re close to a new mk4. Right now some people see this as a steal as the Maschine MK3 is still sitting next to the plus.

Nylon, & Picked Accoustic Sound Different & Then Electric Sunburst, Vintage & The Other Are well Electric Guitars But struggle to see a real difference between Accoustic Sunburst & Strummed Accoustic When it's done downloading for me I'll dig into it..

Maybe you want to turn down the vibrato (mod wheel) while presenting the library. Vibrato is meant as a temporary note expression feature, not as a permanent chorus-like setting to run everything through.

They punked many people with getting the soundset into it , can sound good but, it's deep in programming, not for the weak also depending on your hard drive space on what you have as to be a preset for the use of it, I almost dumped it, not user friendly for newbies !!!

Interesting take on this. I thought it had potential but yeah, you have to spend more time in it to dial the perfect settings because the presets are not all that great. Just good for starting I guess.

With all respect it's the "New Feature" stuff they may be low-key charging you for like Pro Tools with their beat making feature. Some people don't use these daws for making beats they use it for the feature of mixing and maybe a few features to work on music. I would be cool with/agree with s1 or companies Mayne charging a small fee of you've owned the perpetual for a long time and maybe you've upgraded your computer 5/10 years later and may need the latest to be compatible.

Fender traditionally pissed off most of their sellers through the years. The requirements to get a franchise were taxing. A store was forced to buy/sell many of their non-selling models just to put Strats, Teles, Jazz and P-basses on the floor. In fact, they even forced Leo Fender out the door! Today's shenanigans are quite similar, but now they are going straight through the end-user customers.

@@beatkultr It depends on how the situation is managed. Traditionally, Fender ruins everything. (Ask Leo Fender.) If they start losing a large user base, their competitors will take that revenue and (should) improve their product(s). Presonus was always more about the hardware. Studio One came later. Many users were skeptical but found the product to be surprisingly good. However, their customer service is already a wash. (This used to be a cool company to work with.) The ultimate problem with DAWs is fastening one's projects to that product/version. I ran into this when I switched from Cubase. Keep your eye on the industry itself. Regardless, there will always be that entrepreneur that pays attention to the customers' needs. Stay tuned...
