What I always used to remind myself is that the worse they can do is not respond. If they don't respond, you are in the exact same position you were in before you sent the message. If they do respond, you are potentially in a much better position as long as you ensure you get the most you can out of your communication with them. And more often than not, people do not reply on LinkedIn, not because they don't want to, they are just busy or don't see your message as soon as you would like them to. So, keep reaching out to more and more people. With LinkedIn (unlike applications) it is a numbers game. As long as you send out a message introducing yourself and setting the scene as to why you want to talk to them, you just have to wait for someone to have the time to respond. It will happen!

Awww Shanay! Trust me the journey is not easy, but I definitely don't want you to struggle like I did hahahha. What part of the process are you finding most difficult?

I think many people (even me) worry that training at a high street firm will mean that you will always be at a high street firm, but that just isn't the case at all. So long as you keep networking and putting yourself in the spaces that you would ideally want to be in, you can always move to another firm at qualification. Have a think about it, consider your options and let us know if you have any follow up questions! 😀
