Hello guys! Today I bring you a new transcription of "Je suis seul ce soir", this time by Fapy Lafertin. It's a very nice song and quite covered in gypsy jazz, so I think it would be important to have it in the usual repertoire. Soon I will make the backing track of this song on my new channel "Guitareal Lessons", so be sure to follow that YT account, I upload new material every Saturday. See you in the next transcription!

Thanks for this! From the famous “The Visit” on Cobblestone. Listen close and you can hear the gasps or guffaws of a couple people in studio that day. Sam Koontz, may he rest in peace, told me he was there. He made Martino’s guitar.

I always try to find some info about the recordings I transcribe and I found this about the album where we can find "Laura": "This was the first album that tenor saxophonist Jimmy Forrest made after his R&B phase ended. Particularly notable is that the set served as the recording debut of guitarist Grant Green..."

Hello guys! Today I bring you a song that I transcribed several years ago but I had to modify it. It turns out that I started to review it and it didn't have the sections; the form of the song; it had many bars per system, so the reading of the staff was not very good; and I started to review the notes and noticed some errors, so I decided to review note by note of the entire song...and it's a song that once finished consists of 17 pages because there is the complete song, the initial and final melody by the sax, plus the sax, guitar and piano solos. I also modified the fingering on many parts of the sax and piano solos. It's a very big job. Finally I want to add that this version of Laura seems exquisite to me, I love how the melody is performed by the sax, it's one of those songs that I would undoubtedly add to my usual repertoire just for the beauty of the melody. I hope you like it and decide to work with this song. See you next time!

Hi everyone! Today I bring you an exquisite composition by Romane called "French Guitar". In my opinion it's a song that is worth incorporating into our regular repertoire, both for its dark melody and for its unusual harmony in the genre. I think it would add variety and color to the usual repertoire. It's important to have a variety of rhythms and styles, for example bossa, swing, up tempo, blues, bolero, waltz, etc., and within each rhythm it's a good idea to have something "uncommon" let's say, and this song falls into that "uncommon" category. I hope you like it and decide to try this beautiful song. Thanks for supporting me again this month on Patreon, your support is really important for me...See you next time!

Hello guys! Today I bring you a transcription of Wes Montgomery...as some of you know, I'm Argentinian, and we love football, well, Argentina is playing a cup (Copa America), and today we're going to play against Canada, whoever wins reaches the final of the cup, that's why I decided to transcribe "Canadian Sunset", haha. It sounds strange, but I really decided to transcribe this song for that reason...we Argentinians are crazy. Ha ha. Well, speaking about the song, it's part of "Boss Guitar", that great Wes album. In fact, I was transcribing another song from that album and I put it on hold to make this other transcription because of the match. Apart from the pdf of the transcription, I also added an additional pdf, which only has the chords of the song, I think that from now on I am going to upload transcriptions this way, the pdf with everything and another separate pdf, just with chords so that you can read it better. The reason is because in the final pdf I often have to put 2 or 3 measures per system due to the number of notes in the measures and in order to read the harmony well it is necessary to have 4 measures per system, that way is better understood. Well, enough text, I hope this song by Wes helps you and I hope Argentina wins today! Ha ha. See you next time!!!

Hi guys! Today I bring you the transcription of a beautiful gypsy jazz waltz, "Passion" performed by Romane. The melody of the A section has a mysterious, obscure kind of line. It's a great gypsy jazz waltz to learn and develop our technique. Again I wrote a small 4-page document talking about some things of the song, so those who download the pdf will have access to this other pdf, and I also made a small sheet where I give other options for the first 4 accompaniment chords. Well, I hope you like this one. See you next time!

Hello guys, today I bring you the transcription of "Here's that rainy day" by Wes Montgomery live for Belgian television. It's a classic version and I've always liked it, so I really don't know why I waited so long to transcribe it... it's just that there are so many good songs and so little time available! Also, for this song I created a 7-page document to talk a little about certain particularities of the song, those who download the pdf will also have access to this other pdf. Well guys, I hope you like this version and that you decide to incorporate it into your usual repertoire, without a doubt for my taste it is an indispensable song in our repertoire. See you next time guys!
