I noticed some references to CA Central Coast, we lived in Paso Robles, Montebello Oaks neighborhood from 2006-2013 before retiring to AZ. I miss the twisty roads sometimes.

Very cool. I realize the Can Corso seems a bit aggressive at first blush, but she became quite the gentle and sweet dog on our drive into Paso.

I've been using Smartthings (now a Samsung product) for many years. It still works okay, but there are many other choices these days.

I paid a fair amount of money to Miller Drilling (now owned by another company) who did everything you did about a year ago when my old tank sprung a leak. New 5,000 gallon tank here. Well failed at 400 feet and was replaced years before I bought the property with a new 800 foot deep hole. THANK YOU for this video.

I just can't imagine how they survive these days, unseen, unknown. What is left to eat? Momma bears and cubs, awesome! And tagged bears! That was wild to see the wild boar, a glimpse of a fox! And the Bob cats. Those are Bob cats, not Lynx? And I don't know where you are, and do not disclose here, but the sun is down.... so please tell I am just fine on my walkabouts?! Please?! Normally I use a 12VDC AGM battery but the trap was setup behind a business and the owner allowed for me to use an extension cord from an outlet at the back door. The cord was used to power a small 12VDC power supply.

Does the controller accept DTMF tones over the air or does it require a cable for DTMF?

The RC210 controller accepts the dtmf command over the air.

Look so much like Teddy! Who I suspect is BC and Husky or Akita. His finders actually wound up adopting him after they found him him wandering to their home about a mile from where we were hiking!! Good bait dog!!

Are you asking if I have a video of the collarum deployment? If so, sadly I don't. I had placed a camera intentionally to capture that moment, but the camera failed. I think I have a video or two of testing the collarum before deployment (to make sure it worked correctly when needed). Let me know if those would be of any interest to you.

Why not insulate and add one more emergency exit door in case a predator gets in ????

Insulation in this small size shelter causes condensation (moisture) which is bad for a lot of reasons. In our area it is warm most days of the year and rarely gets below freezing. The interior remains warm from the sunlight during the day but if the interior gets below 55f, we have automatic controls that turn on cat bed heaters. There are two entry/exits, one on each side so they could escape if needed.

I took a look at your QRZ page after my first reply. How cool that you worked for ACC ! The controllers were paramount to my days building remote base radios. I had a shack master for a bunch of years and it kills me that I sold it off long ago. Much respect to you. PS. My wife grew up in Macedonia and gave me the tour of the area last time we were there (C.Falls, etc.). Beautiful place.

Nice. Just an FYI, a few years back I built a 2nd trap but used "field fencing" and not the "welded wire" used in my first trap. The field fencing is much stronger and cost a bit more, but you'll never have to wonder if the dog (or whatever) could chew out of it in a panic.

It's good to have a backup supply. Mostly though, it's a local requirement to have a storage tank capable of five thousand gallons for fire fighting.

thnx for reply. I live in Michigan and we've many woods about here but they don't dry out and burn like your landscape, perhaps. Could be in future this could be a problem here and my house is sided with rough sawn pine. I have a place on a hill above my house that I am considering as a site for a large cistern.@@ShawnDienhart

Oh my gosh that is incredibly sad. I'm so sorry for the family and you and the team. Unfortunately rat poison kills more than rats, including pets and wildlife, raptors, big cats, etc. Very sad indeed. What a beautiful dog.
