Having just seen Jaguar's first all-new marketing campaign "Copy Nothing" I will say it's a new direction compared to their traditional luxury + motorsport heritage - and marketing. Very Paris Haute Couture and Artsy Fashion Style, which proves JLR is going all-in on their House of Luxury Brands strategy - possibly the automotive equivalent and similar marketing to fashion mega-house LVMH. According to JLR's Investors Day Presentation from June of this year, JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) will be producing luxury and ultra-luxury vehicles priced into the 7 Figures dollar amount. Jag's motorsport heritage will likely be celebrated in future marketing ad campaigns. Their first concept will be officially unveiled in Miami, Florida, USA on December 2nd at Miami Art Week so very soon, and the camouflaged prototype vehicle photos of Jag's first new EV-Only Luxury GT model looks to be very intriguing (SEE PHOTOS IN COMMUNITY). One things for sure though; Jaguar Cars will be a featured topic of discussion around the entire world today, which is probably what they wanted. Rolls, Bentley and Aston will be watching closely. 👍😎

I own a P38 range rover and now i have fixed the problems caused by the previous owner trying to bodge repairs by spending 50p it is as reliable as any car i have ever owned, still on AIR suspension and original V8 engine, 197,800 miles i would confidently take it to anywhere across europe and back to blighty.

Im 63. Iv obviously onlt had fuled cars and vans, i brought a phev but just couldn't stand plugging in every day, just to achieve 35 miles. I really enjoyed the ev side and not the engine. Iv now traded it in and brought a i pace and love the drivability and feel of brilliant road holding. All i can say is. Electric far exceeds an engine and theres fun round corners. Lots of it. Yes the range is limited for now but we've got to adapt to a new way of motoring. Oil and gas is needed by industry and while there's enough for another few hundred years. Its getting harder to get at, and so much more expensive to extract. So us poor general public will have to go fully electric for everything.so industry can still operate economically. Don't be a dinosaur. Because you'll be the one to loose.

Jaguar are Finished. Breaks my heart. No one wants 100k + EV's
@MikeyLikesCars4 ай бұрын
Totally respect your opinion and I love a V8 and V12 too, but it's likely the future. Jag is just jumping in first with an entirely new lineup that's all-electric. Other brands, such as Porsche, are slowly easing everyone into it. The Porsche Taycan is selling extremely well and the all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre is too (for it's segment) and it doesn't have the range (only 264 miles). You can bet Bentley is just around the corner and watching Jag closely. According to JLR, the new Jags will have 430 miles of EV range to start - and battery tech is advancing quickly so range will continue to increase. Maybe 1,000 horsepower from these new Jags too? Maybe? Electric car tech has advanced a lot since a decade ago but it's still just the beginning. However, ultra-exotics such as Bugatti and Pagani will likely offer ICE for a while. But I totally get and respect what you're saying. Just makes the classic Jags even more special - and I kinda like that too.
@fx02zbn4 ай бұрын
@@MikeyLikesCars Hi Mikey. Porsche have seen a huge drop in demand for the new Taycan, as have Tesla and all premium EV makers. Any demand for EV's is politically led rather than by demand from buyers, now the carrots of free road tax and cheap charging are going away, more that half of original EV buyers are going back to ICE. With thousands of acres of surplus cars to shift, the cheap Chinese imports which have to come, will kill off all Western makers who put all their eggs in the EV basket. I stick by my prediction that Jaguar will cease production by the late 2020's unless they keep at least some of the ICE models current. Anything else is just commercial suicide.
@MikeyLikesCars4 ай бұрын
@@fx02zbn EDITED TO CLARIFY MY ORIGINAL RESPONSE - I hear what you are saying but I respectfully disagree. I'm on both sides - meaning I like EV and ICE. I'm a car enthusiast and I love great products. It's a new direction for Jaguar and I definitely wouldn't want to see Jaguar disappear. I wish them lots of long-term success. It would be nice if Jag made an all-new ICE powered fourth model to go along with their three new EV-Only models - an ICE V12 Supercar styled similar to their previous C-X75 would be very nice! BUT they're moving forward - onward and upward.

@MikeyLikesCars3 ай бұрын
@@Robotron5000Deluxe Thanks for commenting. Hopefully exciting times ahead for Jag. The latest from JLR suggests they'll take a timed approach in launching each new Jag model and let the excitement and anticipation build until then with a huge global marketing campaign for Jaguar likely launching soon after they unveil their first concept, which I'd expect sometime this year. Expecting Jaguar will want to launch with the right product at the right time. They don't seem to be in any rush - especially since they'll be moving up into the performance ultra-luxury segment, which will be exclusive and luxury product driven instead of mass premium sales driven. Stay tuned. 👍😎
