It sands right off with some 220 grit. I sanded everything that way before we finished it.

Love the projects! For the sled, you could use blue painter's tape to hold all the boards in alignment when drawing and/or glue/nailing. Also, could use to do mirror cuts and sanding at same time.

I've been researching Lasers for quite some time. What's your honest opinion on this one? Price I super reasonable, even for the all in kit. Biggest question: is it beginner/user friendly?
@averystreetdesignstudio5 күн бұрын
My honest opinion after using both brands we have is that it is an excellent starter machine. It took about 45 minutes to get familiar with the program it uses (lightburn). I was already familiar with the xtool program which is similar. The setup was super easy and the results were great. For the money it is fantastic. Plus they give you all kinds of free stuff with the machines when you buy. If you're just getting started, it's excellent.

Shed looks great 👍 Man do I know what you mean about not being able to do what we use to take for granted. In addition finding parts of our body that we hadn't noticed before. Ageing is not for the meek but it beats the alternative LOL Stay well, Joe Z

He guys! Great ideas/video. Congrats on the laser!! For the LASER OWNERS- creative Fabrica has a TON of laser files and bundles for every holiday and niche/interest. I don’t own a laser- I use the site for Cricut files and PNGS- but I’m always SUPER jealous of the laser stuff I see. They have a monthly/ yearly subscription but EVERY FILE/BUNDLE & Fonts is included. Including a TON of Print-On-Demand files. COMMERCIAL LICENSE INCLUDED!!! I CHOSE YEARLY bc it works out to 3.99$ a month vs 9.99 for monthly sub. They include files for pretty much any of the machines in each of the downloads (except if file type is specified ex. “SVG Snowman Bundle. Most popular file types included are SVG, PNG, DXF & EPS and font files of course. Some additional types are available. All the laser bundles you might go to Etsy for are available over there for an insanely cheaper price. BTW I have no affiliation with Creative Fabrica- it’s just an amazing price for an insane resource of files!!!! They usually have a free trial with some free download credits.

Love the holiday build series, thanks for awesome ideas as 95% of my projects are from pallet wood. Just curious about the philosophy of not spreading the glue??? I get that it's not "fine furniture"...is it to avoid wiping squeeze out or other reasons? Happy holidays from Pennsylvania
@averystreetdesignstudio7 күн бұрын
I spread the glue on thicker pieces. On 1x4 stuff, it usually fills both faces without spreading too much.
