Personally, I have a safe deposit box at my bank. I have appointed a arbiter and given them the only other key. I keep all my safe queens in there. Just because I’ve had fire and flood in my life, and I don’t want those items to be destroyed. I’ve also placed an inventory list and where those items are to go in case of my passing. Y’all also have to arrange it with your bank and put that arbiter on the list so they can access your box. Really cheap to. Like $77 a year. Not bad.

Case factory is pushing for their employees to up production with less staff. not near perfection but just passing final inspection prior to wrapping and boxing. Time is money.

Just ran across your video agree with you on case knives you have to look at them before buying have ordered several case knives off knives live tv smoky mountain and some of them were junk blades didn’t line up especially on the 75 pattern and a lot of week springs I have an old grandaddy Barlow but it has a synthetic scales ten dot 1980

We don't have any BP manufacurers in the UK these days, so we use Swiss, Zloty Stok and Henry Kranks (it's a UK company but made in mainland Europe). It's a shame when your country stops producing things, but it's also the state of the world.

Funny how you say GEC is perfect when I have owned and sold some crappy GECs. Give me a Case any day. I have owned some well known USA guitars that were over 4k and had burn marks froma buffing wheel. They are Human over at Case, GEC, and Gibson Guitars not machines.....

At some point in time it seems Kershaw made some brandywine (redbone) stockman knives in D2 steel. Most aren't.

The biggest quality test a knife has to pass for me to purchase is the inspection of the backspring alignment with the liners. This is because it is the easiest place to check the overall quality of the build. one it passes, I look at the way the scales, bolsters. and pins are flush with each other. THEN i check the blades and walk and talk. If at that point there aren't any issues then i am prolly going to be happy purchasing it. The problem i have with online purchases is they do not show the individual knife i am going to purchase, but rather a sample of what they want me to think i'm getting. and if i am viewing the individual item then the pictures are either not good quality or they avoid showing the detail necessary for me to feel comfortable purchasing.

RoseCraft knives are addictive love them! I just hope they can stay in the same price range and the same quality if they start making them here.

I've been collecting Case knives for about 50 years . Russlocks and small toothpicks are my main patterns that I collect . I have yet to find any flaws in quality . My favorite EDC is my green pocket worn Russlock with a pocket clip . I wish Case would make more of their knives with pocket clips . The Russlocks tend to wear holes in my pockets and that is why I prefer pocket clips . I only have one with the pocket clip , and would like to buy more . It seems Case only makes limited quantities with the clip . And when they are available , they sell out quickly . As far as quality , I find that weather older or newer , the quality remains the same ( at least up to 2020 ) . I also own a single blade assisted opening trapper with a pocket clip , but that's another story .

Firearms used to be really beautiful back in the day. I understand that modern pistols are more practical and all that, but in terms of looks they nothing on the old ones.
