Even with thread lock i would never put a not serviceable nut on the inside of the case thats just asking for it to come loose especially with the threads to the inside oil and extreme heat...

I've never seen anyone so serious about amping up what starts out as essentially a lawnmower engine. Cool project!

May not matter in this application, but you should never grind a crankshaft in general, they are precision balanced from the factory; better to take the material from the crankcase to get clearance

Damn bro, you definately earned that thumbs up! From idea to running bike is brain shaking. And how smooth it runs! All yours bro. Amazing! One of the most ambitious projects I’ve seen pulled off on KZbin.

Wonder if this would be the same procedure for screening onto a thin, 5 x 8 inch metal plate.....? Or is there another consideration. The plate will also be painted prior to screening... Thanks

$1100 later and you have a mediocre race engine. Just buy a race engine.

The rockers are 200+. Do the rest of the parts cost as much as a ls? If so any good prebuilt small engines without paying over 1000 for engine amd new parts

Fr, building a small engine should be cheaper.

if your supposed to use the same stroke how come you can get away with a longer connecting rod?
@SomethingAboutMaking
@SomethingAboutMaking Ай бұрын
Con rod doesn't change the length of the stroke, only the position. It still moves the same amount up and down.

Put a little oil on the top of the cylinder when you put the ring sleeve on it and the piston in the hole.. oil will keep it from lifting.. that’s your “friend you don’t have” 🤣🤣

With the cam and crank clearance issue you said to grind "it". Maybe you should have said to grind on the crank shaft. Someone may try grinding on their cam if you don't specify. Obviously, that would be bad.
