Great stuff, David. These are basically the numbers I've landed on as well after a bunch of research. Making a living at this is not easy, and people don't realize how much work goes into it behind the scenes.

This has to be the BEST. explanation on how to figure out your worth. The same applies to podcasts. When it all comes down to it, you have to know your numbers, know your audience, and most importantly, know what you're worth! I'll be definitely sending people this video when I get asked this question.

Thank you for that no bull video really helped me after watching a number of other videos yours stands out. So thank you. I am interested in your patreon approach giving people the extended videos over there. I mapped out a patreon membership but it's building really slowly and wonder if your "extended part of the video" is going well for you. I see you have a good number of patrons. Would you say that was from this approach or are they loyal subscribers that have loved what you do for a while now. Thanks again, really insightful.

This is extremely extremely helpful. Have been scratching my head over this for quite some time now. I had a sub-question though. The cost that a creator arrives at...does that have to be upfront? I mean there a lot of brands out there that are open to paying but not upfront. They might want to do so via an affiliate program where they can share up to 50%-70% revenue but only be ready to spend a small cost upfront owing to the size of their marketing spends. This actually pans out really well if the brand and the creator's audience have a great fit and the video can influence people to make purchases. Do you think creators are open to this kind of a set-up and is recommended that they be, or should they just vouch for an upfront payment?

You'd want a FAIRLY good conversion rate. What I NOTICE MOST is that they have some type of discount code and I assumed that they would get a PERCENTAGE CUT but it might be more JUST a thing to see what influencers are ACTUALLY getting them sales.

How much negotiation is expected? If you say my rate is X and they come back with an offer of Y, are they expecting you to come back with Z somewhere in between?
@SomethingAboutMaking8 жыл бұрын
It depends. Many times I just say this is my rate and It's a take it or leave it situation. If you're going to negotiate then start with the higher number in the range.
