With that amp and subs you should be experiencing that fast, dynamic, explosive bass hit with a lot of detail. Its something you dont get with lesser subs or amps.

No, just make sure the rubber seal is flat and not rolled over before you bolt it back down.

Looks like my old 95 I had and sounds like it also mine was a 305 with 350 vortec heads and it ran like a scalded ape people thought that truck was slow cuz it was just a 305 but it hung. In there with the best of them and beat many 350s looks clean love it

Yes sir get you a set of factory 5 lug rims and a decent set of tires on it and you’ll love it I drove mine everywhere I drove mine 12 hours away nonstop straight never skipped a beat

Why are you referring to this Punch series amp as “Power series”? The term “unboxing” generally refers to new items in factory packaging. The data plate label on the bottom of the amp being wrinkled up like that looks like the amp has been exposed to a high moisture or humidity area…

the right sub is not right connected and you are loosing bass, try to swap the - and + cables to the sub then you will get the max performance out of them :)

swapping the positive and negative wires won’t help. it will be the exact same, apart from the subs will move backwards instead of forwards. if you wire one of them inverse and not the other, they will work against each other. always wire them in the same polarity

My truck is a 2007 Chevy avalanche. There is alot of seperating parts on this truck. It is not solid like others. 🙂

Wire them together so you only gotta use 2 wires to the amp. 1 ohm or 2 ohm whatever your amp can handle

LOL... Ya would think that EVERYBODY knew that "ROCKFORD FOSGATE" is one of the TOP BIG PLAYERS in the aftermarket CAR AUDIO game... A Buddy of mine wanted to put some bump in his ride, so I said that I would give him one of my amps. (RF PUNCH) He just tossed it in his trunk and never even bothered hooking it up. So I got it back, and left him alone to his pipe dreams, and distorted blown half azz factory speakers... Basically he thought that since I had given it to him for FREE that it's gotta be just some NO NAME CHEAPO JUNK... SMH, WELL, I tried, some people are just stuck on stupid and can't be helped. A sad truth, but It's just the way it is... But he'll be alright because his Momma says that happiness comes from magic rays of sunshine that come down when ya feelin' blue... 🤽‍♂️

Why is one sub higher that the other? Nobody puts the subs facing the back anymore. Bass grows as it flows.🤦🏻‍♂️

This enclosure looks really nice. It looks like it's going to be really strong and stiff. I'm not sure what the ports tuned at but it seems to be playing pretty low. The idea of using the midgate as part of the enclosure seems to have a lot of problems. I don't think that plastic midgate was designed to support a lot of weight or be airtight or rigid. This box is definitely the way to go. How are you liking it?

With your two Rockford Subs you want to make sure they are wired so that this amp is bridged and seeing a 4-ohm load. You can maybe wire it at 2 ohm stereo, but you'll need to make sure your gain controls are set identically.

I'm a big fan of the Old School Rockford amps. That particular model is Class A/B and not really suited for subs. I would definitely use that on mids and tweets. On a sub you want to make sure not to wire it too low (no lower than 4 ohms) and not push it too hard. Rockford does make class D amps that are a lot more powerful and sound just as good. They can also work at lower ohm loads.

Class doesn’t matter for subwoofer use necessarily. Class AB is meant to sound good. Class d is meant to be efficient. More efficient, at worse sound quality. It is more acceptable to run subs off a class d because distortion is harder to hear in bass. A class AB amp pushing subs will just be a better sound amp that pulls more current. For the size of wire you need for a 1000 watt class AB you could run a bigger class d amp on the same wire.

@brendenperry3770 People going around saying Class D sounds worse than Class A/B was 25 years ago when class D started to come out in the car audio market. With modern class D your not going to hear a difference. You CAN hear a difference between a well designed amp and a poorly designed amp, though. So you can have a good class D sound better than a poor class A/B.
