Still need to trim the numbers a bit, to give meaningful minutes whilst still being 3 deep in most positions in case of an injury crisis.

I wouldn’t be unhappy to shop in the freebie market this summer. Jonathan Tah, Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich and Jonathan David all make logical sense and then spend well on a top keeper Then the following could be sold: Kepa, Sanchez, either of Jorgensen or Petrovic, Benoit, Disasi, KDH, Casedai (Santos replaces these anyway) Carney & Chilly as well. There’s easily £150m + of hard cash back into the accounting to help PSR and we don’t need to replace them if we got the other 4 plus a keeper. Then you get into others who have been linked away such as Nkunku, Enzo and Mudryk. I’m not saying the whole squad needs replacing but it is bloated and selling a number while getting free transfers will help our finances tremendously

I really hope Chelsea start to look at older alternatives at CB. Andreas Christensen and Jonathan Tah will both be free this summer. One or both of these would be great options.

The only actual saleable asset would be Nkunku, you could get a decent price for him. The rest would all be sold at a loss. And Davies is not coming to Chelsea, too expensive and quite frankly he has a certain Spanish club that will take priority over us.

No to Davies. Not pulling up any trees currently, wages will be high so unless he's cheap, don't see it working. David looks good but is he better than Jackson and Nkunku? Probably not by much if at all so unless Nkunku leaves in Jan I can't see that happening either.

Gusto can cover there if it gets to that point. And u have Ishe Samwels Smith if he gets even worse. Also think adding another winger to this group does more harm than good. Already gonna have headaches adding Estevao in a few months

I think Guro has just gone from strength to strength every year. She has always been an assassin. Im surprised anyone would wonder if she has dipped. The team has just been in transition, new roles, she’s needed to accommodate her team mates as I have seen in the last 2 seasons. She is also human and has needed a playing break. Imagine if she went down with a major injury. I think we as a fan base have to view these athletes with different filters. Much like a distance runner maintains a base fitness, yet still has a 16 to 20 week build before a major marathon. We have to view year around athletes like Guro and other soccer players with that kind of sophistication that considers their fitness cycles as well as the teams needs at any one time. Football is a squad game, yet we continue to wonder why 15 players aren’t starting, why 7 forwards have not scored in 10 games, even though you can only start 2 or 3 forwards, and the average number of goals per game is around 2.5. Let’s respect the game by enjoying the fact that Guro plays for us and will be here for years. Why wonder if a player has dropped off? Let’s just enjoy this ride of the women’s game and opportunities in sports for all of us to make a living or be a fan. Full disclosure, I do video editing and production. Half my clients are young athletes putting together highlight reels. The thing they are often afraid off is that the final video does not give anyone clues to things that can be picked apart. These young athletes veto clips of them doing amazing athletic things, because it will make them look undisciplined in terms of positional play. My argument is that what looks like a drop off from talent is often a growth period. Guro is and has always been top shelf. She has that passion you can’t teach.

What are we gonna do about Nusken? Because last year we saw she's good in the 8/10 with her late runs. Now she's playing too deep and we're expecting her to be a good passer, but she doesn't have an impressive passing range. We also can't push her up the field because she needs to cover our slow defense. Either way, glad with the win and proud of the players stepping up in the big games. Guro back to her best, you love to see it.
