Wrong side of motor boss nana egr is by the down pipe not the intake

German cars require good maintenance practices and little more knowledge than the Asians. Chaulk this lesson up as failed maintenance. The alternator pulley is designed to absorb mechanical shock, should get replaced as soon as any symptoms appear, but also onve every 100k to prevent failure.
@YoungWRX12 күн бұрын
Yeah tensioner failed. I didn’t realize it was bad
@bobirving60527 күн бұрын
Are you sure it was tensioner that failed? Probably not. It’s the alternator pulley that fails. The pulley is what absorbs the shock. It’s a clutch pulley. Not too expensive or difficult to change.
@YoungWRX6 күн бұрын
@bobirving6052 yeah it was the tensioner. Alternator is fine

The issue for the oil pooling could be due to deteriorating seals around the injectors. It could also be due to a crack in the tappet cover. So, depending on what it is, you can consider replacing the tappet cover or the seals around the injectors.

I have oil sipping and collecting into my glow plugs and making it run rich. I was wondering if I can remove the intake manifold and replace the gasket without having to used VCDS? I got a code P0638 and I have already remove the EGR twice and clean it and got that code soon after that work. I haven’t change the valve cover gasket as my girlfriend’s car has 160K miles. I also would like to replace the injector seals since that will have to be removed to replace the valve cover gasket but since I don’t have the VCDS I’m scare I’ll screw my injectors pressure!!!
