Ok, let this Jehovah's Witness answer and correct you. So many mistakes to deal with. First, he mentions Rev.6:9-11 as proof that the dead are alive someplace, fully conscience. I mean, really? Rev.1:1 says this revelation was given in signs. Lots of signs and symbolic language. Or does he really think that there are dead people sitting underneath an altar, begging God for revenge? Esc.9:5 Psalms 146:4 says that when you die, your thoughts perish. And from dust you are to dust you will return. Esc.3:20 Then he talks about the parable about the rich man and Lazarus. Nothing about this is literal. as if you can see heaven from a burning hellfire, which also is not literal. Especially if you understand the scriptures which talk about the conditions of the dead, that I just quoted. And the bible talks about God being a God of the living because in God's eyes, he will resurrect certain ones who at present are dead, but to God, they are alive because of His purpose to resurrect them. Next he talks about Rev.7:9-17 as proof that more than 144,000 will go to heaven, Thinking that this great crowd is in heaven. But these people survived the Great Tribulation, which is on the earth. They are the chosen ones which Matthews talks about who will survive. But he does not understand the 2 resurrections. Because those of the first resurrection will reign with Christ and the Second Death has no authority over them because they have been granted everlasting life. They will not need to be guided to the waters of life. And they number 144,000 . But the rest of mankind , or those of the second resurrection, will be guided to waters of life as is said about these survivors of the Great Tribulation. Rev.7:17 Which means that they as of yet, do not have everlasting life, as those of the first resurrection in heaven have. Next he talks about Thomas, when he said to Jesus, "My Lord and my God." But there were many people, al of them unbelievers, who wrongly thought that Jesus was God, because of the things that he was doing and saying. And in some cases, Jesus corrected them. But not in every case. Jesus did not ask Thomas to identify him. This is what Thomas thought in his excitement at seeing Jesus. " And just 3 verses after Thomas said this, at John 20:31, it says that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Which clarifies what Thomas just said. Then he talks about Mark, 12:29.30 thinking that the bible calls God, Lord. Well, if he had a bible that did not remove the name Jehovah, from its pages, it reads, ...Jehovah our God is One Jehovah." Now let's stop there. When Jehovah said this, do you think that from what Jehovah just said that anyone hearing this would think that God is trying to tell them that he really is a 3 in 1 God? How did he not mention that? Then he tries to say that Jesus was worshipped. At Rev.5:11-14 it says that Jehovah was sitting on the throne and Jesus was near him and they fell down and worshipped. But no where does it say that they worshipped Jesus. He just assumed they did. They worshipped the one on the throne, Jehovah. And now I have some questions for you. 1. Does the devil know who God is? 2. Does the devil know if Jesus is God or not? 3. Can God be tempted? 4. When the devil tried to tempt Jesus by asking him to bow down to him in exchange for all of the kingdom of the world, did the devil think that he was talking to God? 5. I was waiting for at least one "proof" scripture to be addressed that Jehovah's Witnesses "force" to agree with them, but NOT one was forthcoming.
