i love Boardwalk Empire, am on my 3d rewatch and it's flawless in what it does. it's exceptional in almost every aspect. but to me it lacks feeling, heart, there's something lacking where it really shouldn't be because all the ingredients are there. in this finale i get a flame of what this show could have been. i think they should have played more with the in-world gone non-diegetic music to hit the scenes home. a little more passion about what happens and not as formal. just a theory, i'm still brainstorming why i don't like this show more

You don’t have many shows that such good first seasons, this show’s opening season was a triumph. Shame it didn’t carry to the later seasons

Such a wonderful series. Too bad they fired the actor that played James and that the final season was kind of a mess. Steve Buscemi is such a great actor that i feel sad when he plays dumb roles in Adam Sandler movies. He can do way better than that. Also, at the beggining of this clip they show the butler. I loved that character so much!

She's one of the few like REAL women in Boardwalk Empire with a personality, which is the worst thing about this show. All the rest are either sex crazed morons or boring.

Love it. It's nuanced, it's not overtly nihilistic. It admits that despite this terryfying uncertainty life contains both suffering and joy and one can't decisively judge that it's all bad or all good.
