I live on the south coast Worthing 400 miles away but after many years just getting back into hiking camping and this coast is where i want to go . Ive never been this far north i think . Great content , very very detailed content. Ive just this week bought the maps of the area and new gear . Thanks for the information im looking at getting up there when i see a good weather window. Its refreshing to see a video from an honest guy who is ( not yet ) a " promoter" or getting paid for likes and reviews. Ive enjoyed coming here not least becsuse although im 400 miles south of here im looking at doing this very soon. Im rather jaded by recent videos from youtubers who are clearly getting paid to promote whatever is the latest bit of kit they have been sent . Northumberland in weather like that is unbeatable. Sadly a lot of the time it is bitterly cold, windy and misty being the North Sea, so you've been really lucky!

Nice to see another user of this tent. I took this one with me on a 5 day walk along the Ridgeway (March 2023) in what turned into arctic conditions and even though it is explicitly for "snow-free conditions", it dealt pleasingly well with overnight snow dumps. Having said that, the flysheet does sag and stretch quite a bit when wet, and the weight of snow can exacerbate this. Ultimately, though; i find the sheer number of required pegout points and the slight fiddliness of connecting the flysheet to the pole structure and to the inner, as well as the awkwardness of a fairly low and narrow front entry leave me preferring the Vaude Lizard SUL 1-2p, or even the Taurus (similar in build to the Hogan, but simpler to pitch). None of that matters, though, as you know what you like and it's great that you like it - just posting these thoughts in case they are useful for anyone else (anyone wanting to see it in action in poor conditions could check out my Ridgeway videos, too.)

Completed this with friends in June , after second peak we had awful weather , rain, hail ! It was tough but glad we finished , well done !

Years ago I was coming down Ingleborough and got talking to a lad who done it twice.As in he got back to Horton and set off again 6 peaks in one go😳

I had this tent and sold it, it was in showroom condition (secondhand when I bought it), I found the headroom a little restrictive for me as I'm just over 6'1". When you are this height it becomes a challenge to find a lightweight roomy tent, so many have end walls which slope in too much and catch your feet when stretched out. I now have the Vaude Hogan 2P SUL which is bigger and with the additional cross pole gives that extra bit of headroom. I'm going to be using it for the first time next week when I do the West Highland Way. I love the quality of the Vaude Hogan tents.

Well done lads, I'd like to do this walk but with a camp somewhere inbetween😁

I didn't think it was 'that hard' I did it in 8 hours and I'd never done anything other than go up sca fell, It's basicall a fitness test,, if you're pretty fit it isn't that physiclaly hard imo, it's all in the wind. I did have better weather than you and my feet were blistered horribly.
