This one was ordered by a customer, if you want, you can still order it, but it is worth noting that hamon is random and may not be exactly the same as shown in the video, please refer to our website listing photos

I received this piece today and it is utterly stunning. Your craftsmanship is unparalleled in your region, and I thank you very much for having created this. I will certainly be ordering from you again. I have spent decades in Japanese swordsmanship, in a variety of Ryu Ha. I look forward to showing this piece to my many friends in the circuit. Beautiful work and thank you again for truly standing above the rest. I will certainly be ordering again in the future.

Put in an order for a custom similar to this a few weeks ago (different tsuba also with a water theme and different steel). Excited to see it when it’s finished.

I am pretty sure when they refer to it as a “naginata/nagamaki nioshi” it has been refitted from its original design to fit down to wakizashi or katana type fittings.

Originally yes, but there people who liked the look and would have their swords made in this style. Officially I believe the antiques are classified the same whether they were cut down or its their original sugata.

You can use 95% alcohol or something called car oil cleaner to remove oil stains.

9260 steel and differential temper? That's doing it right! I am very suprised they can offer that for under $300. Tsuba look nice too. You're not going to get real Japanese silk wrappings on a cheap sword. but if the blade is as advertised it is a Hell of deal

Just ordered a pre-set one and a custom one off Swordis with your blades. Super excited to do a simple unboxing video. Seen some of your work and have become quite impressed. Sun WuKong aid your efforts in crafting the swords.

I’m new to katanas(Ghost of Tsushima led me here) so I did a couple days of research and the purchased Shadow Dancer Kanmuriotoshi Zukuri S5 Steel Tameshigiri Katana off of swordis. Donyou think that’s a good “first katana” or are there other katanas in the 700-1000 dollar range you can recommend me for my future katanas collection? Not only by shadow dancer but others as well?

why are you not doing a black wash when you put this much effort in your tsuka? ( a wash is where you brush over - the samegawa, in this case - with a mixture of water and paint, so that the paint runs in the cracks, and when it dries it leaves the nodules white, but remains black in-between the nodules)
