That Sir, is one very pretty Bike. The color is perfect. One thing I do like better on the Honda 50 Cub that I owned as a teenager, some 50+ years ago was the larger double seat. If I do decide to purchase a Honda Supercub in my senior years, I do believe that I would buy the aftermarket longer seat with saddle bags and the Trunk along with the rear foot-pegs. These are marvelous machines. The old Ad saying still applies. "You Meet The Nicest People on a HONDA". Greetings from Ontario, Canada.

I just bought a 2004 VTX 1300 with less than 20k miles on it. Yes, you read that right, 20 years old, less than 20k miles. Plot twist: I bought it from a guy here in Texas who sadly got flooded in the recent rains. It took on about a foot and a half of water. He's a friend and too old to ride these days so he told me "$500 and it's yours", so clearly I couldn't turn THAT shit down. Clearly I have my work cut out for me, but I'm happy to do it. Here's the thing, I've RIDDEN for 15 years, but I've never ONCE turned a wrench on a motorcycle. Plenty of cars, and I'm an HVAC mechanic by trade, so I likely have the "mechanical knowledge and skill set" to do the work that needs to be done. That said, I'm always happy to take advice. I've found the owners manual online, but CLEARLY I'm gonna need some parts, and what I DON'T see in the manual are PARTS BREAKDOWN AND PARTS NUMBERS. Curious if anyone here knows where I can find what I guess would be called the "SERVICE" manual, with breakdowns and part numbers. This was a great video btw, you made me even more excited to get mine cleaned up and on the road!

Yeah, time to fix the broken garage door so I can get the bikes out! Glad I don't have to deal with annual inspections any more, had to do that in DC but here in MD it's only when you register the vehicle, though police can cite you for any obvious issues and require repair and re-inspections any time. That are sure has changed a lot; back when I was in high school, the Dulles access road was where you went to find out how fast your car was, since there was NOTHING out there between the Beltway and the airport (which gives you a clue how old I am, haha). Thought maybe you were getting a Triumph for a minute there! Back in October I did a road trip to NC and surrounds, met up with Hawk Girl and Jay (and finally had the pleasure of riding with them some), you may know they're on Triumphs now for road bikes, Misty has a Trident while Jay has a Tiger Sport, both 660's. Great folks.

Gus, Very enjoyable video and adding the motorcycle dealer visit at the end made it a complete story, instead of simply a ride. Just like Alabama, Florida doesn't have vehicle inspections any more.. did away with them years ago. I was wondering if the KZbin bot detected the music playing in the showroom, and gave you a chance to delete it, or whether you suspected that it would be flagged and deleted it before trying, or if you felt it was appropriate to silence it and made the decision yourself. I had KZbin flag music in a Cub House clip that I could barely hear, and really didn't even recognize it as music. I remade the video and I silenced the portion of the clip that KZbin flagged, and then added pre-clearance music from the KZbin library or one of the sound tracks from the "Breaking Copyright" KZbin channel on top of the video to put approved music back into the clip.
@gustwowheeling73374 ай бұрын
Thank you Vaughn! Glad you enjoyed the video. I made the decision myself to silence the video clips in the showroom. It was the same situation as yours at the Cub House. I had music playing in the background while I was talking in the showroom. So I decided that I’d better silence those clips when I was building the video. The local Honda dealers are starting to receive 2024 Trail 125 in my area. How’s it looking down your way? Thanks again for watching and ride safe Vaughn.

@@gustwowheeling7337 I look at the inventory at Honda of Melbourne, the largest Florida Powerhouse dealer to figure out when new Honda models show up. If it is like prior years, Melbourne will get a batch of three to four 2024 Trail 125s before any other dealers in Florida get any. Love Powersports my local dealer who is non-Powerhouse will get one about a month after the first batch arrives at Melbourne, and then Love will get another one before the end of the year. I already bought the first one that Love will get in, but I don't know when it will arrive. As far as I can tell, Melbourne didn't get their first batch yet. I did talk with Love Powersports today, and they said they didn't have any information on a shipping date yet. If I had to guess, I would guess the Honda of Melbourne will get a batch of three this week, and Love will get mine in by the end of March, or in the first week of April.

Do cops ever stop you because you're driving a moped. They kind of ignore me on a motorcycle unless I'm over the speed limit. You'd have to go through a small town and not see a sign to get a speeding ticket in that. You could take that crate to a woodworking shop and have them clean it up a bit and route the edges with a nice beveled curve and dress it up a bit, or just build you a nice one. Have fun. I'd totally do a long distance road trip on a SuperCub. I want one of the old ones though.
@gustwowheeling73379 ай бұрын
No cops don’t mess with me. One time at a red light a deputy pulled up next to me tell me that he liked my Super Cub. That is a good idea for a beveled curve for the crate. Thank you for watching and ride safe.

The real test is hauling groceries with it. Lots of groceries. Something you'll do every two weeks. That's what I use my Honda for. I don't understand any motorcycles that are sold without some cargo carrying capability. Maybe mount a motorcycle duffle bag between your legs. I've got a huge plastic storage box with hinged lid and lock mounted on the back of my motorcycle like you do, but I bolted mine over the rear seat and onto the third party storage rack. On my rebel, I have a duffle bag that slips over the sissy back rest but it tends to slid to the side when full so you're reaching around to shove it back on the back seat sometimes. Backpack goes over the gas tank on a conventional motorcycle.

@@gustwowheeling7337 No I have a Honda CMX250 and CM450. I just pulled out both from a chicken shed today, pulled a birdsnest out, and ceanked up the 450 for the first time inb5 years. I had to park them when I went blind. But I got eye surgery last week and now can see out of one eye. Going to bleed the front brake, cjeck air pressure, grease the chain and make the first trip to a gas station to tank up tomorrow. The 250 is going to need a new battery I only got 7.5v out of it. Boy are they dusty and a mess. Clean them up progressively as I go.
