What product did you use? or are you waiting to see the results before you recommend?

@wayneoosterhoff2459 Great question yes waiting for results first.
@Commander_D14 күн бұрын
Can’t wait to see the results, especially on the lawn that’s being renovated. It’s so hard as an average DIY-er to know what products are legit and what are a scam.

Great video, I didn’t know you can water the lawn before you mow. I always heard you shouldn’t mow wet lawns so I’ve definitely done damage to mine mowing when it’s hot and crisp.

Great video and looking forward to the weed video. I wish we got all that rain though! We’re in a moderate drought here in the DC area. I’ve used Hydretain once so far this year and it seems to be helping. Still watering about an inch a week but I think I’d have to water more if I didn’t use it. What are your thoughts on these type of hydro supplements?

@Commander_D Wetting agents are great. When I was a superintendent for 20 years it was a must. There is so many different varieties. I am going to do some videos on some granular types of wetting agents. They're supposed to be amazing

Hey we’d love to have you on one of our Grass Factor episodes! Let me know!
Thanks for the video, especially the tip about not overwatering to get the grass out of dormancy. I was looking at my lawn today and my first instinct was to immediately water areas that are going dormant and water even more this week. I’ll pull back though to not cause any long term damage.

Hydretain has minimal results spend the money and get a better wetting agent like the golf courses use not that much more $ and a much better product.. in my opinion hydretain is a joke..

Hi Just to add a comment about my experience with moles. I was home in Republic of Kosovo and I did catch a live mole, and after 30 seconds it was dead. I did an experiment with it. I got it and i pushed it back into the mole hole and waited. Not to longe after a live mole came and it was pushing the dead mole out of the hole. With a shovel i managed to get another one out. After that i didn't try again. Does it mean that the live moles don't like the dead ones in the mole hole. Please try and let mi know the results. Thank you
@gcqfertilizer19612 ай бұрын
Moles are very territorial and they will clean out their tunnels so that they are clear in order to keep their prey easily accessible .

I have been defending over 10 acres in costal Washington for 30 years, I have done and tried it all. Hands down worms are the best method but the price is insane. I also have had good results in the summer sun scouting for dark wet soil in the mound showing active digging. Advance toward the mound walk as softly as possible. Swing a large sledge hammer or Maul down into the center of the mound as soil is surfacing. You will get it 9 out of 10 attempts! I don't even dig them up to confirm anymore. Wack A Mole! As for the worms, some are too expensive and others are too wet and soft making placement an complex bit of micro excavation. I want to poke a hole with 4 foot piece of #4 rebar bent with handle and foot stirrup, drop worm pitch off hole in sod and move on.

That could be a bad or good idea depending on where you live. If you're north of the transition zone that would not work out well Zoysia on the other hand would be a better ticket

Can u spray q4 for nuts edge and then a few days later use another type of herbicide like sledgehammer? Or is spraying two herbicides such close together going to damage the grass?
@gcqfertilizer19613 ай бұрын
Spraying too close together can cause issues in the turf . Sedge hammer should be able to take care of it all by itself. The most important thing is to spray at the right timing. Two days after mowing spray on a nice sunny day. Wait to mow for 2 more days. Make sure you have a surfactant added to it and you should be good temperatures 70s and above

Do u do two apps of prodiamine in the spring? One between 50-55 degrees and one before summer? I did 0.4 oz/1,000 of prodiamine 65 wDg on the perimeter and 3 lbs/1,000 granular prodiamine on my main grass area. I had a septic repair and still have lots of thin spots and will need to overseed in August. Thanks for the advice! :)
