I miss when Mattel used to pair up with Philharmonic orchestras to create the soundtracks. Classical music made these movies that much more magical- my sisters and I still get together to watch the new releases just for fun, and the music is absolute trash. It makes us all so sad that the quality has gotten so…. bad? Idk, it’s just so modern… and wack. “King of the Kingdom” kinda serves bad Eurovision song- it’s got nothing on old Barbie.

The nicest people I currently have in my life all grew up on Barbie- these songs make me cry- my sisters and I are all super close and I genuinely think growing up and playing Barbies together, watching the movies, etc, all heavily influenced our relationship. I miss those times 😢 I turn 18 in 16 days… I’m gonna cry.

I watched the Barbie movies since my younger sister really like it a lot, especially Barbie Princess Charm School, Fashion Fairytale, The Diamond Castle, Barbie and 12 Dancing Princess. But, when she was at her 12, she didn't watch them again and so did I. But, when my youngest sister was born and she just randomly watch Barbie's short clips on KZbin, it was Barbie Star Light Adventure. So, these days I watch all the movies again. Just I feel the differences between old Barbie and now, the old barbie gives nostalagic vibes for me and really classics
